He offered up a good point, and provided a strong counter arguement. Now is there anything else concerning the sphynx tha tneeds to be discussed.

and that question lead to you giving data that the sphinx had no mention of magical dampening or absorbing in myth,and that it had only been sited in current works of fiction. which lead to me to come to the decision that to stick to the actual original mythos it would be best to not allow the inate magical dampening.

I gave three examples of it in orginal myths...it was vague but still there.

they were vague to nonexistant mostly based on wide speculation.

the taking the sins and evils from a man could be a sign of aura siphoning but that's stretching it a bit as well.
