"Yes, you are right.' Billy said, stopping.

"Something is toying with us."

Billy looked around for anything out of place. The red eyes burned in his mind.

"Alright, don't panic, anyone. This is a library."

Billy looked at the shelf beside him, leapt onto it, and began to pull himself up it, hand over hand, by the shelves.

"Follow me." he called down.

"Great a labyrinth get ready for the annoyingly long dungeon running people! This place is gonna try to separate us."  Samuel yells to the others.

To have a dungeon/Labyrinth in a school. Wow just wow out of all things Samuel hated mazes.

From the top of the bookcase Billy can see a large portion of the Forbidden section. It looked normal at first glance, but when examined closer Billy could see that things were shifting, changing and moving. It wasn't a visible shift. He would look at one section, look away and look back and that section would suddenly be different. It was disorienting.

In addition, the purple lights of the lanterns could be seen floating amongst the rows of shelves. They were moving closer.

Was that shouting?

From the forbidden sector?

Tiberius wandered closer to the entrance to that part of the library, thinking that it could just be some of the nastier curse books..

As Tiberius approaches the forbidden section, it becomes apparent something is off. The door that ussually remained closed was open and an ominous wind blew from the open doors.

"Oh dear.." Tiberius said.

Prior experience told him that ominous winds were never good.

The automaton nervously entered the forbidden section.

Predictable.

He continued towards the sounds and disruption.

Billy observed the expanse of the library, constantly shifting with every turn of his head. He tired blinking.

Yep, different. He leaned back over the side of the bookcase and called down, "It seems to be shiftin-" into the empty aisle.

Billy sighed. He really should have seen that coming. He pulled out a piece of paper and pencil, and scribbled a quick note.

Dear Miss Yamata-San,

It seems to be shifting whenever you look away. Try and stay within line of sight of one another. Don't worry about me, I have a cunning plan. I'm sorry, and good luck.

He rolled it up and slipped a pair of silver coins into it. It zipped away through whatever magic the system used.

He looked around, picked a direction and took a running leap from his bookshelf to the next one. Now, all he would have to do is keep leaping like that in a single direction, and not blink. Then, he would come back with a ball of twine.

Billy took a run up for the next shelf, and leapt again.

I follow Billy up the shelves of books. Billy had a head start though and reaches the top long before me, and by the time I catch up, he is gone.

I look below and luckily see the others. I call out to them "Billy's gone, what should we do?"

I hang on the side of the bookshelf, worried that if I moved any further from the group that I would be separated as well.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

A scroll suddenly appears near Asoka and she catches it, then unfurls and reads it.

Asoka: "Billy says that we should be careful and stay within sight of each other at all times as the forbidden section's shelves shift constantly. Everyone understand?"

"Are you guys going to come up here?" I say, growing tired of hanging on the side of the book shelf.

"I can make us some paths over the gaps in the shelves."

"Hello?"

Tiberius's voice echos off the shelves.

"Oh N--OURF!"

Billy tumbled down between the bookshelves, a rain of books fluttering down around him. He landed on his back with a cry of pain, and tried gingerly to sit up.

He had blinked. He had jumped, blinked, and found himself ay a completely different trajectory when he opened his eyes. He took a few deep breaths, trying to regain the wind he had knocked out on the edge of the shelf.

This was no good. He needed to find a wall or something.

The lanterns glided in a uniform manner down the halls, passages and aisles of the Forbidden section. Their purple lights radiating into every nook and cranny. They knew something was wrong, the silent alarm had been triggered. An intruder or intruders was present in their domain. So the moved quickly and silently amongst the books and artifacts in hopes to ctach the intruders in their soft purple light.

Seeing purple lights moving quickly on the other side of the bookshelves. "Um I don't know if this is alarming to you guys, but the lanterns seem to be looking for something now." Samuel tried say quiet enough so they could hear it but not the lanterns.

Billy sat there for a while, until he saw the tale tale glow of the lanterns at the end of the aisle. Grunting he pulled himself up via the bookshelf and ran to the other side of the aisle and around a corner, only to spot another.  Billy hastily ran up that aisle.

Of course, he couldn't keep running away like this. He'd be caught eventually, or stay lost in the shifting maze of books until he starved to death.

He stopped to catch his breath, and looked around. He was....

Billy managed a scowl. He was back in front of the mural! Right back where he started! And, judging by the purple light, more lanterns were on the way. He picked an Aisle without light, and started running again.

Noises, and now strange lights.

This was going to end in a large mess, Tiberius could just feel it in his core.

"Hello?" He said as he walked down one of the unlit aisles.

Billy tried to skid to a halt when he saw the large thing coming down the aisle, but his treacherous forward momentum carried him into into, his head colliding with it with a load *CLANG*

As he grasped his head and thought about how many brain cells he lost each time that happened, he looked up to sew a familiar face. "Mr. Tiberius? What in the world are you doing here?"
