"You actually know this language?" I say questioningly. "It doesn't look like anything I've seen before."

I hand the book over to Samuel to have him examine it.

As we walk through the halls, we pass artifact after artifact that seems to radiate power towards us. A staff, mirror, fountain, statue, and a strange chained book. I'm tempted to touch each of them, but paranoia about what would happen prevents me.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

"It does seem to be where all of the important things are stored. I can feel the magic creeping into my skin."

It isn't long walking in this place that the group come upon the mural. Billy sees it and runs up, examining it's every nook and crevice.

"Yeah I understand it! My parents instilled multiple languages into so I wouldn't wonder into cursed/sacred land." He replies. Reading a few of the pages while he followed the others it was very interesting what information this book had.

( Hey marv can you say whats in the book. Cause I don't think I should make up something if I don't know about it.)

The Mural is covered in a multitude of illustrations that extend down its length. Oddly, the portion on the far right is blank. The illustrations tell the history of the land on which The College was built.

The Image on the far left was simple in design. It depicted a hill with a bright light resting atop it, with rays of light emanating from it. On either side of the hill were two entities. On was a man clad in exquisite armor and wielding a glowing sword. The other was a large dragon-like creature with red eyes. As the mural continued it showed how the two entities raised their armies to fight for the light atop the hill. Ages passed as the war continued.

However, the Man in armor soon realized the war’s cost on his men’s lives. He then began to fight simply to stop the Dark entity. In a final battle the man in armor seized the light and used its power to cast a powerful spell, sealing the dark entity in the hill. The man had finally stopped the bloodshed, but at a price. To keep dark entity sealed in the hill, he would have to remain there for eternity.

Years passed and the mural depicted them all. The man remained on the hill and built a home for himself. While he aged, he did not die. A city soon grew around the hill, but none dared approach the immortal man. He was feared and lonely.  One day he was approached by a powerful figure, who offered to help the man alleviate his loneliness. Together they built the Kethencian College of Magic.

All the while the dark entity with red eyes lay dormant beneath the College. Decades passed and each was depicted on the mural up to the final image which displayed the college, covered in spiders and webs as several figures fought back.  Beneath the image was a large black mass with two large red eye looking upwards.

Billy Looks into the Red Eyes in the dark. In the dim light, they almost appear to really be there. And he can imagine this creature, lock up, buried alive under the school and he imagines how much it must hate them.

Once, in the kingdom, renovations were undertaken to repair a section of the city damaged in a hundred years previously in some war or another. As the skeleton dug up the old barracks, a different, older group had burst out of one of the cellars and set upon them, tearing them apart and streaming into the city. The Honored Dead were eventually able to put the horde down, but not before many humans had died at their claws.

They had gone mad. That's what was decided. That down there, trapped in the dark, they had lost something that wasn't there to begin with.

Billy stood up, and looked at his companions. His voice is hollow.

"Alright, we have what we came for. Lets grab Gob and get out of here."

He turned, and began walking back to where they had left Gob, thinking of the mad skeletons. How insane would something go, he wondered, if it had an actual mind to lose?

Asoka looks at the mural and says, "Hmmmm, this mural seems to say that the enemy is an ancient one. What do you all think?"

Billy stops when he hears Asoka.

"I think," he said, "that we should all concentrate on getting stronger. And be careful."

Asoka nods, "Yes, one can never be too careful, that's for sure."

Asoka looks off into the distance sadly, "However, it is always good to know what one's reason to gain strength and power is otherwise it is just lust for power. A virtue when taken too far can become a vice."

I look at the mural, trying to take in all that it meant for us. Starring silently at it even as the rest of the group began to walk away.

What we were facing was old, possibly stronger that we could even imagine. I was only a fledgling Correnian, barely in tune with my power. How would I develop my power in time to help assist against something like this?

Someone from the group calls out to me, and I turn and catch up to the group. For the moment, I try to concentrate on other things, the mural was too much to take in.

"Samuel, may I have that book back after you tell me what you have found?"

"We can light it once were safely out of here."

Billy was thinking. About the Skeletons, about power, and about why these people were here, with him.

Well it was obvious, wasn't it: Billy had brought them. He had knowingly brought them into danger, and involved them in his fight against some thing sleeping in the dark.

He would have to do something about all of that...

"Oh a lot of interesting objects are mentioned in this thing! One in particular though something called Titania's Prison. Ever heard of it before? Cause this is new information for me." Samuel gives his reply as he walks.

"A what?"

Samuel comes over and translates the passage, as I take the book from him and observe the detailed pictures that accompany the description.

"Interesting, it seems this could be used for more than just what the books states about its relation to sprites."

"Why does it look familiar" I mutter to myself.

"Thank you Samuel"

Thinking it over on how easy it was to infiltrate it disturbed him a bit how easy it was. "Hey guys the way we got in don't you think it was too easy. It's kinda bothering me we had little trouble to getting in here."

As the students cotinued towards the exit they began to notice that the path they were taking did not look familiar. The shelves were different and the none of the "landmarks" were the same.

Billy was so absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn't notice until it was to late that they should have passed Gob by now.

They were on a different tract!

Billy stops dead once he does.

"Guys, I think we're lost. We should try doubling back."

Billy turned heel and lead the group back toward the mural.

Tiberius was content. He was among a place with many, many books, all that needed his rearranging. His instinct to organize was always his strongest. The automaton stopped and tilted his head, hand holding a large book.

Had he heard something?
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

"What? Didn't we go down the same path we went before." I mention to Billy.

"I'm pretty sure we past the pedestal with the log of all the items just a moment ago, how could we be lost already?"
