Then doesn't that mean that if anyone with the ability "Imortal slayer" ever traveled to Kyst it would imediately cease to exist?

only if it was immortal...

I thought that dimensions themselves usually last forever even if the physical Universe is destroyed, so I think that Kyst would count as an immortal since it is a sentient dimension.

therefore, as an immortal, it could be killed with Immortal Slayer, which in the case of Kyst itself, would simply imply losing its sentience, along with perhaps physical destruction of the dimension.

I see, but the actual existence of the space between dimensions that Kyst seems to be comprised of would not dissapear itself. If you actually did manage to kill Kyst would that affectively destroy all of the Kystians as well as it's influence on the other dimensions, since time does not flow in Kyst and there for all of the things that it has accomplished in the flow of our time would have all occurred simultaneously to Kyst, including it's destruction?

Time flows forward in Kyst,Kyst can make its 'pulse' speed up or go really slow.Kyst does have powers on a dimensional/time/space level.Lizard tail effect is one of them. Here's a scenario. Will the Immortal Slayer(he has that power,so that's his name)arrives in one of Kyst's chambers. He goes up to a wall of space/time and touches Kyst.Lizard tail kicks in.The chamber separates instantly as a new dimension, not connected to Kyst at all.
|
I see your point, but since kyst is the dimension itself then he doesn't really have to touch the outer wall because the inner section of kyst seems to be like what a blood vein is to a human. Also The ability of immortal a slayer happens almost instantaneously no matter how large the immortal is as long as they come in contact. So which will spread faster the lizard tail or the immortal slayer's ability.

whichever is stronger, which I'm gonna guess is Kyst...

It doesn't really depend on power. It depends on the speed at which either ability takes place, and this only occurs if your assuming that the Immortal killer isn't instantaneous.

I posted a little rant about the super power list on the other Anti-powers thread "Sorry I had no idea a thread by the same name existed." that states having the ability would basically cause anyone who has it to cease to exist.

*Searches Anti Power Mimicry again*.
What changes? I must have missed them and I created the power!

Another debate:
Superpower Dispersal NO Power Safety/Power Hold/Power Counter. Although I do have a question, can Power Hold defend against Superpower Dispersal?

Alright, a few questions:
1) What does everyone else think of the power trio? I think it's alright, but no more powers should be added. In fact, I'd like to acquire it. 2) What about neogenetica's attempts to defend against all forms of power negation? I don't like it, power negation is a good counter. 3) Who agrees that having Spacetime Indemnity does not grant omnipresence, thus cannot be used inconjunction with Power Sacrifice to block everyone's Power Sacrifice? I don't. 4) Finally, who can suggest some ways of protecting yourself and your powers from the following: -Power Bypass -have multiple lines of defense. -Power Sacrifice -collect powers nobody else has. -Anti Power Mimicry -get powers of your own. 5) What do people think of my proposed solutions?

I think Power Hold would be a good counter to Superpower Dispersal.

So, outside of the power trio, what power can defend against it?

A regular power-cancelling power can do the trick, like Ability Dampening or Power Negation. Cellular Regain would work too if you can prevent yourself from exploding or burning out.

I'm talking about being on the receiving end of the power, so if someone uses it on you, how could you ensure you keep your powers.
I have some ideas: -Power Backup: Even though you have lost your powers, you are still you, so you can regain your lost powers that have been made into backups. -Power Backup Ability: See above, only it kicks in instantly and it requires you to wait 24 hours after acquiring a new power. -Pro Recall: If you are lucky enough to keep this one power, you can regain all lost abilities.

Good call. Also, Superpower Dispersal wouldn't work on objects with abilities, since it's the object that has the ability, not the owner, unless the owner has the power to summon or own said object, which can be scattered.

1) I really like the protection trio, but it always seemed to me that "Power Safety" covered everything, and the other two were redundant. I'm speaking technically here, for issues of balance/power battles on this site, having limits on them were definitely necessary.
2) I can understand where he's coming from (wanting to have peace of mind, particularly being safe from instant deaths (for example, the acquire-a-person power happened instantly and needed a protection because someone could use it on you before you even knew you were being attacked)), but negations don't bother me too much as long as they're not 'omnipotent negations.' This would be any negation that is completely unavoidable and permanently negates/removes the victims powers. NOTE: I'm not going to acquire any negation powers, because I just don't like them. That's not to say I don't want anyone having them, just that I don't want to have them personally. 3) Think I might pass on this one. Spacetime Indemnity only grants access to one universe, doesn't it? Why can't someone with Power Sacrifice just keep PS always sacrificed so that no one within range can use it? 4) I have no problem with Anti-Power Mimicry and Power Bypass. Power Sacrifice still bothers me because it's on the line of being "perfect," and it definitely throws a battle in favor of whoever has more powers, particularly if someone has a power like The Super Power List or Power of Imagination (Imagine yourself with all of your victim's powers. Boom). Plus, it can be combined with, say, that one power that allowed you to acquire other people as powers and the protection from that power to make an unavoidable combination attack (just sacrifice the protection and acquire the victim. There's no way to avoid it). 5) Power Sacrifice is still on the line for me, but the other two are alright. |
