I have noticed that it sometimes takes a while for questions on power pages to be answered. That is why I made this topic. This is where we can ask about any power, so it saves time because all questions are in one place. It is also useful for asking questions about entire series of powers.
For example: I was thinking about the MythPowers series and I wondered if they are any different to normal powers, other than power level and being based on the Ancient Greek gods. Do they provide side benefits (e.g. Immortality) or are they immune to power negation, mimicry, theft, etc.
Bow before your unimaginably powerful overlord!

This is a place for people to post what if questions and fore other people to try to answer them
My what if question is, What if a superhero with Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence battled a villian with Omnipotence Omniscience, and Omnipresence? My other what if question is, What if a superheo gained Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence and decided to help the alied forces against the middle east. |
The first one couldn't happen. Omnipotence is generally defined as the ability to do absolutely anything that does not make the omnipotent entity not omnipotent (i.e., creating a rock that even the omnipotent entity could never lift is simply a situation that is impossible for all of existence. It's not a limit on omnipotence, just a limit on existence). Two omnipotent entities can't exist simultaneously, because they'd be incapable of acting on one another. If they could exist simultaneously, then, well, they'd be incapable of acting on one another.
If you say "Yes, they can exist simultaneously, and they CAN act on one another," then it's simply a matter of who gets the jump on the other. The first one to act smears the other across the fabric of reality like a bug on a windshield. If an omnipotent entity decided to interfere with the situation in the middle east, then there would not be a situation in the middle east. Whatever they decided they wanted to happen, would happen. If they wanted to prevent the situation from ever coming about in the first place, it simply would never have happened. If they wanted to kill the opposition, well, the opposition would go across the fabric of reality like a bug on a windshield. If they wanted it to end peacefully, they could simply have several people on each side suddenly realize how to end it perfectly and peacefully. |

I think with the second one, the result would be..
Never give anyone omnipotence...

I have a question, since the hero and villion are omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresence they are both all powerfull, all knowing, and they see everywhere and are everywhere. Since they are both all knowing how they get the drop on each other?
|
Depends on which one is more willing to attack (most likely the villain). Since they're capable of acting on one another, they can't really make any insurmountable barriers for each other, hence, the only defense is offense, and the one willing to strike first is the one who wins.

Why would they fight directly?
A fight between two infinitely powerful beings would probably rip the universe apart. Its more likely that they would fight by proxy.

What if a superpowered army with omnipotence, omnisience, and omnipresense declared war on every marval and dc villian that has ever existed? Who would win? How do you think the marval and dc universes would react to that?
|
They WOULDN'T react.
They'd be dead before they realized there was a threat. Not just dead, but never have existed. |
I was asking how the non villians would react.
|
sorry about being so mean earlyer
My next what if question is, What if there was a super hero with omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence would people trust him or not trust him? |

What If there was a superhero with omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence would the villians give up villiany or stay villians?
Second question what if the villians found out about the superhero with omnipotence, omnisience, and omnipresence? My third question is when they found out would they try to skip town? |
1) It would depend on the villain, but it's more than likely that any who stayed villains would no longer be staying alive.
2) If they found out about such a hero, they would probably stop being villains. 3) Not if they were smart. They'd just give up being villains. Leaving the area wouldn't help in any fashion against something omnipresent. |

I think that if such a total Gary-Lou/Mary-Sue character like that was to come into existence, then technically he would have existed forever (his Omnipresence extends his existence throughout time and space); but on top of that, what villain would be stupid enough to keep going on with villainous pursuits? But if they did, their only hope would be if the superhero had to turn his abilities ON (if so, they could wait until he put his guard down). Other than that, villainy would be history

What if the government found out about the superhero with omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence?
second question What do you think the governments reaction would be? third question would the other countries get mad at the government because they have a superhero with omipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence living in the country? fourth question Do you think the other governments of the world would become scared that the government could possobly turn the superhero against them? fifth question do you think the contries would declare war over the issue? sixth question If the countrie's actualy wen't to war who would win? seventh question what would you do if you were that superhero? |

all the world's problems would have been solved if ANY one country had Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence. Either they would be solved by bringing total peace, or total chaos.

1) Probably nothing. There's not much they could do if the hero didn't want to work with the government.
2) Probably ask the hero, very humbly, and only once, to work with the government. 3) No, because they wouldn't risk having the hero mind control them when they didn't like new policies. 4) I think everyone, everywhere would be scared of such a hero. 5) I doubt they'd go to war over such an issue. It's not like the war could actually affect the hero, and if they, say, attacked a country of the hero's preference, then woe unto them. 6) In this situation? Probably not allow the government to find out about me in the first place. |

Thank you...like I said in another thread, all three Omni abilities used together are just plain unstoppable, un-outsmart-able, unbeatable, un-survivable and unwise to fool with.

Yeah, while they're interesting to discuss, there's two questions that have come up here repeatedly that can be answered in the same way every time:
1) How would someone respond to (such and such about an omnipotent entity): They would either mentally cower in a corner, and immediately respond to any request (not like such an entity would really need to request anything), or disobey and risk an immensely painful and immediate death. Of course, with omniscience in play, the entity could kill them before they even knew they were going to disobey, or even knew there was an order to disobey. Really, it's kind of similar to the C'thulhu Mythos: you're dealing with a being vast and powerful beyond anything you could ever hope to comprehend. The best you can hope for is to escape the being's notice and get on with your life uninterfered with. 2) Someone vs. Such an entity: Omnipotence wins. Doesn't just win, smears the opposition across the fabric of reality like a bug. |

The simplest answer here is the following.
If someone possessed the ability to know everything, perceive everything and control and alter everything...and I use everything in its most absolute term encompassing everything that ever was,is and will be. They would simply ignore the ''human problem'' or eliminate it. The human race is never going to be 'problem free'. Someone who was a complete omni-powered being would see that the universe is just a reaction to the inflation of the big bang and that we are nothing more than mere chemical reactions on a large scale - and they would understand that solving our petty issues is pointless because they can see exactly where the human race will end and know it will happen regardless.... Your basically asking - what if God existed? Then my final alternative answer is - your living in that world :) |
