*Chuckles* It's funny how you placed that question...:)
Well... If you must know, it was Mormonism. Apparently, when you're a member (especially if you were born into it), they won't let you go so easily. They really hate it when you try to leave by yourself. They actually threaten you with constant missionaries sent to your doorstep four times a week, and verbally abusive phone calls by your former bishops three times a week if you "do" try to leave by yourself. They won't even allow you to say that you wish to leave and automatically do so. You have to do it in their terms. They make you go through a process like a divorce (except this process is about membership than marriage), they place you in a room where it acts like a courtroom so they can judge whether or not to excommunicate you. So basically it's like saying "You can't quit your job! I have to take you to court and see if I should fire you or not".... When they do excommunicate you, they privately announce to the members that you "were" sinful. I've heard other former members that their family members (In the Church) have heard a lot of filthy gossips about them by the actual authorities of the church theme selves. So... Yeah... It's been rough...

oh...then there's definitely no need to apologize...
In fact, if you feel you need someone to talk to, I'd gladly offer a proverbial shoulder to lean on...I think that religious guidance is really important and, even though I'm not a religious expert, I can offer a few words of comfort to help you not turn into one of those bitter atheist people who USED to believe in a God...

I really appreciate that. Thank you.
However, I'm o.k... I'm still a very spiritual person. In fact, one of the reasons why I chose to leave, was that I received plenty of Insults and ill will from several members. The reason why "They" were so bitter, was that my spiritual philosophies didn't really "Jive" with their dogmas. So there was quite a lot of social friction. I came to the conclusion that there was no reason for me trying to be open minded with people who did nothing but plug their ears... But the greatest reason why I left, was a tragic episode that I went through with a girl that I had a crush on. She was badly treated and misused by the church. So she left. We still tried to keep contact with each other afterwards, but I haven't heard from her for six months now. What really made me furious at the church was a very off colored speech by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. So I guess you can say there were 3 very good reasons. I still believe in a divine force. It's just that I've been frustrated lately with these persistent, close minded people. What I love studying is eastern theology and philosophy. Even when I was in the church, Learning about eastern thought was like drinking a remarkably refreshing cold mango juice drink (metaphorically speaking of course) I found a lot of spiritual comfort from these other books I read. In fact, Last January was my fifth time at the Asian art museum (at San Francisco).

oh, gosh, none of that there Easterner stuff...
No offense to them, they're great and all, but personally I would recommend that you look for some revitalization, not calm. Calm in a sad situation almost always leads to unhappiness. You need to go to a good ol' fashion black Baptist church, and get some of the Holy Ghost in ya, haha (I laugh, but I don't joke)...and I wouldn't recommend a any place that says "Church of Christ", a Jehovah's Witness "church" or anything of that sort...those types of things will certainly hurt your perception of spirituality just like being a Mormon would... (BTW, is it true that they have disparaging perceptions about different races?) You're not one of those --what the media calls-- "Lost Boys", are you? Cuz being put out on your own is totally horrible, and don't feel like you have to scramble to a computer just to get on HERE... Oh, gosh, look at me doing all this talking, haha, and all of it about your personal life...hm, let me know if all this is making you feel uncomfortable. Not trying to be your psychiatrist, unless you're cool with it, lol

Forgive me for sounding too naive, but I'm not so sure on what you meant by "A lost boy"... I would gladly answer that question (if I knew what that meant of course)...
And I also don't know what you mean by scrambling to a computer. "But" the very moment that you've said about the lds church belittling different races, I heard you loud and clear. The actual history of the church has been very convoluted over the years (do to the fact they have very controversial doctrines). In one of the first stories of the book of Mormon, there was a family (with a Father named Lehi). Lehi had three sons Lamen, Lemuel, and Nephi (the youngest). God favored Nephi because he obeyed to his father and *Quote* "was a righteous man". However his oldest brothers (Lamen and Lemuel) were wicked because they did bad things (however the book does not say what kinds of actions) it just says that they harden their hearts and that they complained a lot. So what did God do to them when he was fed up?... Well it says (Very specifically) what happened to them. In Second Nephi 5: 21-23 *Quote* "And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my chosen people. thus the Lord God cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. And thus saith the Lord God: I will cause that they shall be loathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities." *End Quote* Many Mormon Apologists would say that this was not literal, but a metaphor of emotional shame... Personally, that's the lamest excuse I ever heard. Because Joseph Smith himself stated that this type of curse is the reason why America has Native Americans and why Africa And the Middle east has people with dark complexions. Which was why Smith ordered his followers to convert as many of the Native Americans into the church and have the children be adopted into white families. Here's another troublesome note: The Blacks were not able to receive religious authority in the church until 1978. That was not so long ago...

I know not ALL atheists are like that, I said I hope he doesn't become THAT KIND...cuz I know that some people are atheist from the get-go, and some are atheist because they think their former religion did them wrong, and so there's no way ANY religion could be right. Just hoping he didn't become the last kind (IF he decided to give up religious worship altogether; if not, more power to you on your religious journey, Joe...)

Okay, this is a place to question the use of a power (or several powers) against another.
For example: Normalization Fluid What could be used against that? I say cellular regain, first rule of business and ability sponge -cellular regain cancels the effects of the fluid, first rule of business offers a use for it and ability sponge grants you the ability, complete with immunity to it. |

Dc comics has anounced in 2013 they have to give half of the rights to superman to the original creators of superman here is the official report
A judge on Wednesday ruled that the family of superman's co-creator, Jerry Siegel, has "successfully recaptured" rights to additional works, including the first two weeks of the daily Superman newspaper comic-strips, as well as portions of early Action Comics and Superman comic-books. The ruling is based on the court's finding that these were not "works-made-for-hire" under the Copyright Act. This means the Siegels -- repped by Marc Toberoff of Toberoff & Associates -- now control depictions of Superman's origins from the planet Krypton, his parents Jor-El and Lara, Superman as the infant Kal-El, the launching of the infant Superman into space by his parents as Krypton explodes and his landing on Earth in a fiery crash. So starting in 2013 superman may be gone forever. |

why does that mean Superman may be gone forever? It may just mean they'll change him, or change him back to his original powers...

For the Most part,
I'm doing well. Learning how to make some savory dishes. It's been fun so far spending some time working in the kitchen. I'm mastering how to make some good Southeastern Scallop Dumplings. I made Kimchi dumplings last year, and they turned out great... (Kimchi are Korean styled pickled greens and veggies in a spicy brine) (they say it's good for your health, and I'm "certainly" not complaining about that) :) I went Camping recently, that was nice. Haven't Camped for seven years.

I forgot what that was about.
I heard something about that it was a game in a post-apocalyptic world (or something)...
