I would use Superpower Dispersal, though it would be a gamble. If it's used on them, they would be left with only one random power among those they already have. So, if they acquired other powers through Ability Sponge, there's a chance they will lose Power of Imagination and Ability Sponge.

That wouldn't work, because of the protection from ability sponge. Then they could use The Power of Imagination to wipe them off the face of the planet. However, with The Power of Imagination, one could imagine themself immune to imagination crusher -it wouldn't take much.

Alright, I moved all the posts related to Perfect Immortality in the correct topic. I just hope irrelevant posts weren't moved as well.

Thank you. Although, there are probably going to be one or two odd-looking posts about "I said in the other topic" or "We really need to move this to the proper topic =P

I can forgive almost anyone and you are in that group. Just find a way to defeat Perfect Immortality, everything needs to be capable of being defeated. I am sorry for what I said to you, now that you have given your apology. Now, come and join the "Perfect Immortality" thread!

I am going to ask my comic book expert friend next time I visit his comic book store if he can find how to beat perfect immortality.
I am going to ask my comic book expert english teacher next year if he can find away to defeat perfect immortality also. If anyone can find away to beat it they can. and if that doesn't work I am going to go on the dc comics fourm and ask them whether they can find away to beat it albet if they have an thread for those questions. and if that doesn't work I am going to ask the marvel comics fourms. Between the two magor comic book compinies they have got to figure it out. |

I've seen some complaints about Farslayer being overpowered. (Despite there being much more overpowered powers)
Farslayer is far from an omni-kill ability. You want to stop it? Just grab it before the person can throw it. Or kill them. Or just don't do anything to make the person hate you. You have to really really want the target to die for Farslayer to work. Just throwing it at someone because they annoyed you isn't going to cut it. Unless they did something to deserve death, the sword will pass right through them. Magic Consumption would absorb enough of the magi behind the blow to keep you from dieing. Then all you'd have to do is hold on to the sword until all the magic is drained out of it. That would be more than sufficient to heal your wounds. Spell Burn Aura would attack it's magic directly and might destroy it before it kills you. Hex Of Hekate would stop it from magically killing you, but the momentum would make it stab you anyway. Does that help?

Well, Those aren't directly protecting the person. Those are attacking the source of the swords power I.E magic.

Would a Power Negation Power affect the natural skills and abilities of a species? Such as if there was a race of aliens that have the ability of un-aided flight. Its an ability that's as natural to them as breathing, Its not the exception It's the norm. If they developed telekinesis then it would be considered a superpower, but flight is "totally normal" for them.
So If I blasted them with a Power Negate Power, would they loose their ability to fly?

That's what I thought.
Power Negation/Nullification/Deletion would work by reducing all their abilities to the basics for their species. A telepathic, precognative, flying person would loose all the abilites that are "superpowers" to it's species. So, using the example above, He'd loose telepathy and precognition but not flight.

How about Omnipotence? The only thing I can think of to counter that is another Omnipotent being, but that would probably destroy the Multiverse in the resulting conflict.
All hail the king of dunces! You best hold on, I'm opening up my mouth.
|
If you're talking about it in a philosophical sense, it would be utterly impossible to oppose omnipotence, and two omnipotent beings (generally speaking) can not exist simultaneously without violating the definition of omnipotence or existing under some very odd rules (or saying "HAHAHAHA PUNY HUMANS, YOUR LOGIC DOES NOT APPLY TO US").
If you're talking about it in a superpower sense, I think there's some general agreement on the list that we're not discussing it anymore or something. Honestly, omnipotence/omniscience is one of my favorite concepts/powers to play around with, but the way it was being handled for a long time was... annoying, to say the list, so I can't say I blame anyone. |

yeah, I mean everybody knows that Omnipotence is a very powerful, interesting and dangerous ability to think of/contemplate/play with, but in an actual situation, it would kinda suck for everybody else. Therefore, it is (or at least SHOULD be) only reserved for the divine.
