So there have been a lot of good power combinations but what about powers that cause a negative effect when combine? I'll give an example:
I was flipping through randomizer and i saw solar fueled and nightfall back to back, you get energy from light but you create darkness so you become weaker.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Reality anchoring and power of imagination is a good one, takes one of the best powers and makes it useless.

Had another one today. I was going to submit "Perfect Protection Curse"- basically bestowing protective powers on people that protect the powers from modification/use even from their own users. But I sort of came to the revelation that I really hate power manipulating powers (at least those with a detrimental effect), and I absolutely detest omnipotent power manipulating powers (i.e., powers that can manipulate the powers of another with absolutely no way to avoid it, at least without some weird combination of extremely obscure powers). And I couldn't think of a way to write it that didn't make it feel like an OPMP to me.

that'd make you basically baseline for all intents and purposes, rendering you powerless.

I would, but as I said, I don't like that category of powers anyway, so it doesn't really feel worth it to me. If someone else likes the idea, they're absolutely free to do it themselves, but I'm not going to.

I would, but...nah, I'll leave it up to someone else

We all know Vespert has the MOST powers, by far. However, this is not about that; this is factoring in how POWERFUL the user is, which depends on factors like:
-Strength of abilities. -Where/when they are effective, -How their powers cover each other's weaknesses. -How powers complement each other (i.e. telepathy and telekinesis -control objects AND minds). So, by looking at some user's power lists, which user of this site do you think is the most powerful? I might set it out an argument for WHD like this: WHD may be the most powerful because he possesses power combo's like: -Ability Sponge + Power of Imagination -Telekinesis + Telepathy -Telekinesis + Intuitive Aptitude -Ability Jumpstart + Ability Cancellation -Phasing + Barrier Defiance I think this will be useful in choosing opponents for the BA, as you can see who has the advantage in power selection.

I just wanted to ask why this super power didn't get cleared because I didn't understand the reasons they gave me.
The superpower contains nonsensical content that could not be corrected. In the first line, you say: "something they kill and imprison them inside of a mask." Why would you kill a dead thing and then put it inside a mask? Imprison them in a mask OR make the mask copy the foe entirely at the moment of death. "Complete access to ... memory and abilities" is contradicted by "you will not recieve their memories or power" (which implies you do not copy them entirely). Make it clearer and resubmit. For the first part it is necceassary to absorb both the body and the soul in order to have full access to their abilities and looks, but you can only absorb someone into a mask when they are dead and or dying, because that is the state in which they are the most weakened. As for the contradiction that only occurs if you imprison a dead body whose soul has alread left inside of the mask, because the spirit contains all of their memories and powers you would only be able to copy the persons appearance. and nothing else. So what can I correct to make this more accurate Origional copy Name: Mask Of Souls Overview: The ability to copy someone entirely Description: Whoever has this power has the aability to steal the soul and body of something they kill and imprison them inside of a mask which then takes on said person or animal's appearance. Whoever wears said mask turns into an exact copy of the person at time of death and has complete access to their mannerisms, personality, memory and abilities. It is possible to create a mask by just imprisoning the body inside of a mask, but you will not recieve their memories or power. Pros: Never be found by changing your appearance. Obtain the powers and abilites of any of your defeated foes The mask can be easily taken off even though it is a part of your skin during transformation Cons: If you are inhabited by any card-stack spirits the mask will not work and may combust Constantly changing personalities may cause insanity. The masks can be worn by anyone so they must be stored carefully
Welcome one and All to the Jesters Carnival, where the prizes are greater than your wildest dreams, but the nightmares here shall silence you before you can even scream.

I'm not the one who rejected this, but I can kinda see why it got tossed out. No offense, but it does warrant a little reworking.

hmm i understood it well enough, you can either turn the body or the body and soul of a dieng person / animal into a mask that allows you to turn into said animal / person when you wear it. If they trap the soul they can use the persons personality but if not they have to act like the person. As far as the mask trapping the person inside it, why not? by trapping it inside the mask there wouldnt be a dead body somewhere that would give away your disquise.

I think it should be explained more clearly

Even normal people can move heavy objects.
As a example someone in the world record book moved airplanes with his eye lids. Omni-Vampire wouldn't work on omnipotece no matter what you say because killing the omnipotent entity implies they didn't have the power to stop themselves from being killed and since omnipotence makes the weilder all powerfull it wouldn't work. Also I changed perfect immortality I changed it back to the way I had it when I first made it the only thing I kept is that it still cannot be negated. While I do admet having all omni's is something only god can have their is one thing you forgott about. All though the person in the what if question has omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence he doesn't have omnibenevolence so he dosn't have every omnipower. I admit the omnipowers are unbeatable that is why I stoped asking about then in vs. questions and started asking what you would do if you had them. From now on instead of asking vs. questions I will try to ask what you would do with them and simular questions. Also you can ask what if questions in this fourm also it isn't limited to only my questions so if any of you have any questions don't be afraid to post them. |
