Questions about Powers

Reincarnation physics. The power to reincarnate into a law of physics.

Hmmm, maybe. It sounds interesting, but it needs to be possible for you to be killed without the use of specific power (e.g. Power Bypass) so I'll look to put in a weakness.

I have some ideas:
1) Reincarnation: Grief:
-Allows you to possess anyone who grieves your death.

Upon death, you connect to the minds of all who grieve your death. The closer the connection, the better you can control them. The person is unconscious whilst your in control. This may not let you live forever, but it adds some extra years to your life.

Pro:
-Can live as long as those who know you do.
-If you have a lot of friends and family, you could be very hard to kill.
-This is great for those who are sociable.

Cons:
-Being left without a way to rebuild you body.
-If you are anti sociable.
-Unless you know an immortal, you will eventually die.

That would be the fourth in the reincarnation series.

Don't forget about Reality Anchoring; it blocks reality warping. Also, Imagination Crusher requires touch to work, so Power of Imagination could still defeat them. These two together would be deadly; Reality Anchoring would stop the person with Power of Imagination from reality warping and Imagination Crusher would destroy their imagination and everything they made upon touch.

What about Farslayer? Some have said it is overpowered, but since I have heard of strategies to protect yourself, I decided to post it here.

Here are my solutions:
1) Safety Net:
-Teleport to safety, assuming the sword does not follow you.

2) Morbid Teleportation:
-As long as you are in range of a dead body, when killed, you should simply teleport into a nearby corpse.
-If you know the sword is coming, you can teleport to the same nearby corpse and wait until the person dies.

3) Magic Consumption + Regeneration:
-Eat the magic in the sword. You can the recover from the injury.

4) Magic Immunity + Regeneration:
-The sword does nothing, so you can heal.

5) Any of the reincarnation series:
-Come back for revenge.

Indirect attempts to keep it from killing you, or letting you recover would work.

The Sword kinda hates attempts to directly block it.

By hate I mean it tries to kill you even more.

A fun way of countering Power Sacrifice is to acquire Human Energy Container. It would be very dangerous if they blocked it. If you possessed Ability Linking, you could force somebody to block it when they block another power.

I've got another idea:
Reincarnation 4: Daily Backup

This power is similar to Power Backup Ability, only instead of making copies of your powers, it makes copies of your life. Every 24 hours, it makes a backup of your life. When you die, your body heals itself to perfect condition, including powers, as long as it has a backup. You have a choice of what it saves, like which age, powers, etc. However, a change to what it is to copy will reset the 24 hour cycle. You can choose when you revive, but you cannot wait any longer than 1 hour. When reviving, your body is not making backups.

Pros:
-With a good strategy, you would be very hard to kill.
-Limited choice over time of resurrection.
-Revive completely -powers and all.

Cons:
-Takes a lot of time to build up your backups.
-If you change what is being booted up or die, the cycle is reset.
-You revive after up to an hour on that spot, so you could be killed again.

How do you like the two I suggested?

well, dang...

that sucks, but at least you can afford the new droid x, I'm still house-phoning it up. How the heck is the dog thing going? Is it like in court, or just lots of arguing? Because if it's a court thing, I'd suggest digging up dirt on the ex, pronto.  Does she smoke? Or drink? Or party a lot? (Or worship Satan? ) I'm guessing at least that last one could be reason to lose the pooch.

as for exciting...a few new threads, a few new users, and the RP's stint in Odessa is still progressing, but at half a snail's pace; imagine a snail-turtle hybrid, swimming in a pool of molasses, in the winter, with a lead shell...yeah

The title "Reincarnation" is just a title for the series, meaning you survive in some form, usually altered, after death. Besides, in combo with a particular power, it could allow you to do so. For instance, if you brother had cloning, you could use him to make a clone of yourself and regain your body. I deliberately left it without a way to regain your body for that reason; that way, when people acquire it, they will have to acquire other powers, such as one I am interested in creating.

So, how do you like Reincarnation 4: Daily Backup?

So that's what you meant by the question you posted on the Anti Power Mimicry page. I thought you were asking whether copied Mythpowers (i.e. Shadowulf1 through Author Power Mimicry) could be blocked by it, in which the answer would be yes, because in that case, they are no different.

Your right, Anti Power Mimicry would have no effect, as it targets abilities which grant other abilities like Perfect Immortality (overpowered version), Empathic Mimicry, The Superpower List, etc.

So, Shadowulf1, what do you think?

Does anyone think I should eliminate the power saving bit? I think I will, because it makes Power Backup Ability seem redundant. Besides, Power Backup Ability is better for that -it will revive powers individually and does not require death for use.

Also, I have changed it so you have no control over when you resurrect; it happens instantly, but there is another addition -you are left without powers for 1 hour. I did this to prevent people being super protective for about 50 years, then going on a rampage without anyone being able to stop them.

How do people like it now?
