I think the Durhians of Crav have the highest tech-level.

Most of the other societies lag behind, or rely on magic instead.

At least make them different. New. Unique.

This is supposed to be a new and unique place. A world with a different mythology than any present.

It doesn't have to be a difference in ability, or appearance. Even something culturally or mentally different.

If anyone should start having that sort of thing, it's the Durhians.

You could work your way upwards.

Start with things like simple machines (Pulley systems and what-not) and work your way up through clockwork mechanisms, steam and eventually more advanced sciences.

I'd wait until after the tournament to do so.

Yup, it would work for anyone, regardless of temple. And to add a limitation to it: While under the Sanctuary effect, one cannot fight others or leave the temple so long as they wish to be safe.

Angels: Humanoids with varying numbers of pairs of wings with high magical and physical power. In addition, very weak to damage from fire and ice. Is it good?

Traditionally, the two are the same, with just a different alignment.

Oh, and in Christian faith, devoid of physical form, but we're not gonna get into that.

I mean, almost no mythical creatures/races have been held to authentically here, so why should anyone but me start now?

I'm somewhat guilty of it myself, due to not having enough time to flesh out each of the creations as unique..

Like the Dwarves.. They aren't all smiths, and none of them live underground...
