Gender-- Female

Chronological Age-- 27

Biological Age-- 25

Skin Color-- White

Eye Color-- Blue

Hair Color-- Red

Species-- Human

Other-- Has a twin sister, Brenda, and a half-brother, Kevin; half-brother (who has the power to turn imperceptible), was her first target (her family doesn't know this); doesn't care much for Ivan Fisk or his friends...

=Psychology=

Likes-- Listening to music, practicing at the gun range, bringing down superhumans, eating out, receiving gifts

Dislikes-- Superhumans' advantages over her, being attacked by villainous superhumans, being talked down to, being felt up, having a bad reputation, working under others

Phobias-- Needles, snakes, bugs

Personality-- A very thoughtful and caring person to her family and , she knows very well how to turn this affectionate side on and off so as not to tip off the family as to her second life. Her mother, father and twin sister are very understanding of the fact that she often has to cancel appointments and dates, but they are starting to suspect that something’s up. However, she is quite the fumbler at “outside relationships”, as she calls them. She hasn’t been on a date in quite a while, and while she is very good at other types of social and intellectual interactions, when people ask “what’s her sign” and “what she likes to do on moonlit nights”, she freezes up. She isn’t one for being intimate or too close to anyone other than family and longtime friends.

=Skills=

Knowledge-- trained to be a hunter of fugitive superhumans for the government; knowledge of the mechanics of various superhuman abilities, the locations of various superhumans, superhuman factions and gangs; knowledge of the rules and regulations of various overlords and overladies

Skills-- Fighting (mixed martial arts and streetfighting), swimming, working with computers (not a computer ace, but is fairly savvy), use of various weapons (especially guns), acting, being sneaky, lockpicking, hotwiring cars

Nonskills-- working under others, working well with others, getting over being offended

=Superpowers!=

None. Her capabilities come from extensive training, exercise and experience as a tracker and hunter of superhumans.

===Character===

Name-- Madge Virrion

=Appearance=

Height-- 5'6

Weight-- 116 lbs.

Gender-- Female

Chronological Age-- 32

Biological Age-- 20

Skin Color-- White

Eye Color-- Green when it's sunny, brown when it's dark

Hair Color-- Dark blonde

Species-- Superhuman (Human Mutant)

Other-- Has severe cases of melanoma on her body and a few external tumors; wears long sleeves

=Psychology=

Likes/Dislikes/Phobias-- It depends on her mood. She could be craving for something one minute, and the next, she could abhor it or be absolutely terrified by it.

Personality-- When she's not in one of her short moments of sanity, she's very unpredictable, subject to major mood swings and lacking moral sense.
She was diagnosed with a pancreatic tumor at the age of 21. Because of her weak build, she was denied surgery which was considered too risky and underwent a chemotherapy. Surprisingly, the treatment had no side effects on her body, but unfortunately, it had no effect on the tumor either. She spent some time trying to find a treatment that could work, but to no avail.
When she finally decided to try surgery, it was too late. When they opened her, the surgeons discovered the tumor became cancerous and had already metastasized. If that wasn't enough, they witnessed her heal from the surgery in seconds. She spent the next year in a hospital lab as a guinea pig for study on her regenerative ability and experimental cancer treatments, but none of them had any effect and her cancer got worse. At that time, roughly 5% of her body mass were cancerous cells, most of them growing inside her brain. The swelling in her head caused her acute headaches and she began to have trouble judging the right from the wrong and was subject to violent behavior changes. Moreover, the on-going battle between her regenerative body and the multiplying cancer cells was draining her from her energy. She was eventually considered useless and dangerous, and was thrown out of the hospital. Being left alone with a malfunctioning brain, she eventually lost hope for a cure.
Nowadays, she hasn't physically aged and the cancerous cells are roughly 40% of her body weight. She is physically tired, has double vision and tremors, vomits blood in moments of distress and the effects of cancer on her brain changed her into a violent crazy woman.

=Skills=

Knowledge-- None. She has trouble speaking coherently. She even has trouble remembering her own name.

Skills-- None. She has too much trouble focusing on what she's doing to be able to do anything.

Nonskills-- No comment.

=Superpowers!=

Power-- Accelerated Healing (Rapid Cellular Regeneration). The ability to heal rapidly from any injury. It's speculated that she acquired her ability after her tumor appeared. As such, her tumor would be able to survive against her immune system and cancer treatments, and easily grow to become cancerous. This ability even accelerated its development. And her blood, while having healing properties, also carries a lot of unkillable cancerous cells.

    Sub-powers- Healing blood (her blood can heal compatible blood receivers, but the cancerous cells need to be removed somehow). Cancerous blood (the cancer cells in her blood can be transferred to another body where they will grow).

I think her history should be left on the RP wiki Zaleramancer made... the personality section should just be for her personality...

Re: Characters

Hyperion

==Character==

Name- Kalyani Singh

=Appearance=

Height- 5'4"

Weight- 118 lbs

Gender- Female

Chronological age- 19

Biological age- 19

Skin Color- Light Brown

Eye Color- Dark Brown

Hair Color- Brown

Species- Superhuman

Other- Average Indian looks, very lithe and shapely

=Psychology=

Likes- Anything that requires a lot of energy, fast music, guys, alcohol, and generally living it up

Dislikes- Boring things or people, cruelty, unfairness

Phobias-  None

Personality- Kalyani's perspective is to live while she can, because it's not going to last forever. She's a drifter, taking each day on the fly and every night like there's no tomorrow. She knows that nothing lasts, and so nothing can really be taken completely seriously. The good will end so make the most of it while you can, the bad will end so try to ignore it the best you can. Despite this outlook, she occasionally will fly off the hook when someone ruins her good time; it's okay if her fun ends on its own but not when something else puts a stop too it. What really pisses her off the most cruelty, particularly to animals, but also to helpless people.

=Skills=

Knowledge- She never bothered to get a full education, but she's picked up enough along the way to function as a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none in just about every field of knowledge.

Skills- Amazing on the stage, on the dance floor, in the water, and in bed

Nonskills- Caring enough, staying still, keeping in control of her emotions

=Superpowers!=

Neurokinesis- Can control any aspect of the nervous system. This includes manipulating pain receptors, sectors of the brain, and neurotransmitters.
    Sub-powers- Acute knowledge of the nervous system and exactly what the different parts of it do.
    Power Scale- 7 (Needs touch, effects last for up to a few hours)
    Control Scale- 6 (Almost never uses accidentally, but does not have perfect control of the scale of an effect)

Self Polymorph- Can transform into any animal at will.
    Sub-Powers- Perfect knowledge of current form's instincts and lifestyle.
    Power Scale- 8 (Becomes an exact copy, indistinguishable from the real thing in appearance or strength)
    Control Scale- 7 (Only accidentally used when incredibly upset, lasts indefinitely until consciously turned off or she is knocked unconscious)

Oh, dear...Nervekinesis kinda grates on my nerves... If you wanted a Greek root for Nerve to put in front of that kinesis, why not Neurokinesis? Or Nerve Manipulation? These just roll off the tongue better...

And also--because I'll probably be the one having to explain her--how is the neurokinesis and the animal transforming related?

Re: Characters

I mean, is there an underlying cause between the two rather unrelated abilities? Is there a single power (like Viscious' Animal Mimicry) that lets her do these two things as different facets of that ability, or are the two abilities from totally different sources?

Re: Characters

Hyperion
Ah, I see. No, Kalyani's two powers are more or less separate. She can use both at the same time, but they aren't related like Vicious's are.

Re: Characters

Is there a reason behind that? So far, all the characters have had one underlying ability that represents itself in various ways. Did Kalyani have some sort of special experience, or have some special genome, etc?

Re: Characters

Hyperion
The way I generally look at the development of superpowers is genetic. I see it as one gene that defines every power imaginable, and the specific power is decided by interaction with all of the other genes in the body. In this case, Kalyani's being a free spirit gives her access to animal transformations. Similarly, her motivation for everything that she does is to enjoy herself as much as possible, thus her ability to manipulate how people receive any and all stimuli.

so her abilities are a subliminal result of her desires? Interesting.

Re: Characters

Hyperion
That's the way I've always seen it. It also accounts for "stereotypes", such as how characters with pyrokinesis are always temperamental, ones with super strength are (almost) always stupid, et cetera.
