fair enough, either way I still want to see his zanpacto first and second form..........now that I think about it is that sword he carries even even a zanpacto, or is it just one he picked up, the hilt does not resemble the other swords at all.

I think it would be perfect if he got some defensive focused zanpacto that would work against his offensive nature.

Something like a sword with rings on it, the rings could be sacrificed to create shield walls. The rings on the blade would make it less sharp too to counteract his style.

.......usually they seem to reflect the personality or whatever, also maybe they're just saying that it's a zanpacto, where the heck do they come from anyway, I'm guessing they instantaneously materialize as soon as the shinigami power surface, we have no idea where his came from, he was just an extremely powerful spirit that killed the commander and took his place......so he would be a naturally born shinigami if that were the case.............WHAT THE FREAKING HECK IS HE!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!? he's easily the strongest captain besides the old man and he somehow hasn't obtained enough power to enter the first form of his zanpacto, if it even is a zanpacto, and his spirit aura is entirely different form any of the others, and the quantity of it at that. Is he related to the spirit king or something I honestly have no idea what to think about that guy.............

Actual his zampacto is in its first form.

Kampachi and Ichigo have what is called a permanent release type zampacto meaning due to their abnormaly high and uncontrolable spirit energy once they unlocked they're zampacto it cannot be sealed again.

Here is a better describtion.

1. When Ichigo first became a substitute soulreaper he had a powerless zampacto, which is the sword you see him with in the first season.

2. During Ichigo's training with Udahara to regain his soul reaper powers he met the spirit of his zampacto name zangetsu and not only regained his soul reaper powers but unlocked the first form of his zampacto called a shikai, which is the big black sword he has from then on.

Since at the time he released his zampacto he didn't have very good control over his massive spirit energy the sword became stuck in its shkai state and can not be sealed due to his high spirit energy.

That is also the reason why ichigo doesn't have to say anything before he can use his sword like all the other soul reapers have to because unlike them his sword is never sealed their he doesn't have'd to say anything to transform it into its shikai state.

In Kampachi's case his spirit energy was so massive his sword was never sealed in the first place or was activated when his spirit energy got to high. Since Kempachi never learned the name of his zampacto his sword is actualy weaker than other zampacto.

The reason for why kempachi's sword doesn't have a ability is because his sword is a melee type

Their are three named types of zampacto melee, elemental, and kido

Melee type- (Are typically designed for various forms of armed melee combat rather than magic-based abilities)

Kido Type- (Are designed around a special ability rather than close combat potential.)

Elemental Type- (Designed to generate an element and manipulate an element for various forms of attack or defense.)

Their are also varous sub forms but I won't go into those

Basicly Kempachi's zampacto is a melee type.

Also since Kempachi doesn't know the name of his zampacto he cannot use use bankai.

To use bankai the final level of a zampacto you have to be able to materialize the spirit of your zampacto as the first step but since kempachi cannot contact and doesn't know anything about the spirit of his zampacto he cannot materialize it and their fore cannot use bankai.

Also Kempachi refused to learn kido so unlike the other soul reaper captains he cannot use the soul reapers version of kido.

So aside from Kempachi's great physical abilities, massive spirit pressure, and fighting skill he has know special abilities and preverse not to use them.

Kempachi is basicly simply a huge combat specialist.

During Ichigo's fight with Kempachi Kempachi said " my spirital Pressure is so high I cannot seal my Zampacto".

The first release state is called shikai and it is when the soul reaper unseal their zampacto so since kempachi can't seal his zampacto it is pretty much confirmed to be in the first release state. Their is actualy more to it than that but I won't bore you with the details.

You can also tell Ichigo has a permenant release zampacto because after he atains shikai unlike all other soul reapers besides Kempachi it is never shown sealed state.

Also Kempachi's entire division doesn't use kido that much, here is a what the 4th seat of his division stated  " I'm a member of the Eleventh Division - the Gotei 13's specialized combat division. It's full of idiots obsessed with putting their lives on the line. Thanks to the style of our Division, there's always been a kind of unwritten rule that all our Zanpakutō have to be direct-combat types. Just having a Kidō-type Zanpakutō is enough to get a guy labelled a coward. I don't want any of my fellows in the Eleventh Division to see this Zanpakutō's ability. Especially not Ikkaku or my captain. That's why I had to thank you when you concealed us within the briar. If you had not used that technique, then no matter what happened in this battle, I would never have released my Zanpakutō. Even if I were to lose and die at your hands.

Also Kempachi has never been shown to use kido

therefore it is pretty much confirmed.

.....I thought that you had to be aware of your zanpacto's name to reach shikai, if it didn't it simply grew to an unbelievable length unless you condensed it.

No actualy any soul reaper with the slightest bit of control over their spirital pressure can change the size of their zampacto whether they know the name of it or not.

When Gran Fisher became an arrancar and gained a zampacto his sword was the size of a sky scraper since he had little control over his power.

Ichigo has allways had a unaturaly high level of spiritial pressure in fact Chad remembers Udahara telling him back in the second season Ichigo had the power to save rukia and that all needed was to improve his fighting skill. Ichigo's outfit that he wears when he uses bankai acts as a gauge of how much spiritial pressure he has at the moment (your spiritial pressure lowers when your injured), it is revield that with only one sleeve he has the equivolent spiritial pressure of a captain, so basicly ichigo had the strength of the highest rank in the court guard squads(soul reapers) at only 1/10 of his over all strength. So if Ichigo didn't have any control over his spiritial pressure his zampacto would reach orbit probaly but since he has some control it is not.

In Kempachi's case his shikai was released because his spiritial pressure is so high it cannot be sealed in the first place as revealed by Kempachi himself.

Most soul reapers don't have the spiritial pressure to do that or they choose not to because it leaves the zampacto weak.

If Ichigo hadn't learned the name of his zampacto he would not have gained any of its special abilities, his sword would be weaker, and he would never have learned bankai.

So if your strong enougth you can achieve shikai without knowing your zampacto's name though it comes at the price of the zampacto being weaker and you won't be able to achieve bankai.

.....okay fair enough, he's just an extreme minority and lets leave it at that.

That doesn't provide a total answer but it is good enougth.

Zampachi is sort of like the ultimate combat specialist, he has no special abilities no bankai, kido ect. but his massive spiritial pressure, fighting skills, physical capabilities, and ruthlessness more than make up for it.

He is also an extreme minority.

Also kempachi isn't even his first name.

Every Captain of his division takes the first name Kempachi. It is simply a tradition.

His actual first name was never stated.

Kenpachi is a title meaning the greatest swordsmen of each generation. All captains of the 11th division autamaticly gain the name kempachi when they become captain.

Also it is not just their captain kenpachi who loves fighting. The entire division is known for almost regarding as a necesity. In fact it is stated that care about fighting as much as they care about eating and that they regard fighting as the ultimate law.

Kenpach Zaracki simply takes it to the extreme.
