Skill is advantageous in that it is hard to neutralize, unlike more esoteric power sources.
It has the disadvantage of being less likely to bestow powers you would not normally possess.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

It seems like you're talking about LoC, but this ACC.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Skill as in the third or so source in this.

I see, I think I'm on the same page as you now.
What are you wanting to do with them? Just list out their pros and cons or to make some sort of pokemon type match-up?

Mostly for my personal amusement.

If you have the time then it could not hurt, would give people more inspiration to use for their characters.

(T)Cauldron (2)Wealth (A)Djinn (K)Ruin (0)Pet
#T2AK0 Djinn/Ruin: The Djinn of Eravaneth. A blood red Djinn formed from a smoke-like substance who wields a pair of khopeshes. He is the Djinn for the kingdom of Eravaneth, on a world where a Djinn is birthed and bound with the founding of a kingdom. With the fall of his kingdom, this Djinn was left eternally waiting in the ruins of his former kingdom for a new master to make the appropriate payment to him. Wealth: Like all Djinn from his world, his powers are proportional to the payments made to him. Each Djinn is able to receive payment of only a certain type, with the Djinn of Eravaneth having the potent ability of receiving payments of Life. Cauldron/Pet: The Djinn of Eravaneth resides within a statue of a Jade Turtle with a cauldron melded with its shell. This is where payments are made, by placing a substance filled with life within the cauldron which will cause the Djinn of Eravaneth to come forth. If payments have been made recently, the Jade Turtle is able to animate but as the payment fades, the Jade Turtle locks back into being a statue.

I though the powers were all variations on creating something?

I'm trying to be lax with the interpretations of the five aspects on a character so that while people are given a direction to go in with their characters, they still have a good range of creative freedom. In this case, I used Cauldron as something that created the Djinn instead of the other way around. Another thing, the title "Power, the ability to create" was implemented just to get people to think more since having just "Power" would be vague and not spark much creativity.
However, I would like a group opinion on how lax/strict the interpretations/implementations should be since either way probably has some benefits.

Well, another thing that struck me is that he has a pair of swords. I think it defeats the purpose of Additional: Weapon.
The way I looked at it, what the roll dictates is your starting character. Yoy shouldn't be able to start with weapons or a tool unless you roll it.

That was not how I originally envisioned it, but I'm fine with that being the case. I'd like to get a general consensus on it though, or hear good reasons for one side. The way I had it was that what you rolled was the general guidelines of the character and that anything after that was up to the creator.
If I had rolled "Additional: Weapon" then the swords would of been something more integral to the character than just something to fight with.

Oh, I see. Additional means it's an Important addition. Capital letters, bolded for emphasizes, this is important.
I get ya'.

The "Baseline" approach is still viable if we want to try that.

(Q)Freezer (A)Parasitism(V)Insectoid (N)Arctic/Tundra (B)Power: Roll Additional ((Q)Freezer
That's right, I rolled double Freezer! The High Arctic Tick is a remarkable creature that subsides solely on heat. The creature, despite being about as big as a small house cat, continually absorbed the heat out of the air for miles around, turning the area into a virtual deep freezer. The temperature around the tick at the very center of these large, moving freezers, has been recorded as just shy of absolute Zero. Normally found in the deep reaches of the Arctic Circle, it is forced to remain in constant motion, feeding on the scant hear at the very edges of it's reach. When removed from it's home range, the ticks become larger and much more energetic, owing to the larger amount of "food" available to it. The ticks are seen to move at speeds that were shocking to those that had only studied it in it's natural habitat, where they are so slow as to appear docile. They are, however, quite aggressive at all times. In it's home range, it will instinctively move toward any creature that emits heats, clamping on and draining the body heat, completely freezing the victim in a matter of milliseconds. Due to the danger these animal pose to both the environment, as well as human beings, removing the ticks from their home range, for any reason, is forbidden and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm glad that I went with the Misc options for extra rolls, some interesting outcomes have been made possible.
This character would also work in the RP well since it would be suddenly thrust into a new environment off which to feed, though some sentient aspects should probably be added.

Yeah, I figured rolling two of something should result in something catastrophic.

(M)Fan (2)Wealth (S)Prehistoric (I)Labyrinth (M)Element
#M2SIM Prehistoric/Labyrinth: This nameless neanderthal lived a life as a primitive beast in servitude to an ancient sentient race that came before hers. The world on which she lives is dominated by a maze of constructs that sweep across the planet. These constructs are built with the labor of the neanderthals but are supported by pillars of power designed with the ancient's intellects. Wealth: The pillars of power are artifacts from which power is drawn to stabilize a particular aspect with a sector of the world. Each pillar of power requires more years to design than the neanderthal's race has existed and the resources put into its creation would put king's of other worlds to shame. It is only by Mr. Millennium's interference that it fell into this particular neanderthal's hand, for as she approached one pillar of power, both she and it where whisked away into Mr. Millennium's game before her life and her potential could be cut short by the ancient's of her world. Fan/Element: The pillar of power which was stolen away with her is the pillar of wind, a Japanese fan like artifact that regulated the atmosphere of a sector of her planet, allowing the ancients to extend their constructs far above the planet's surface. The full capabilities of the artifact are lost on the neanderthal though, who can only draw on it for the most primal of purposes.
