Yes science has rules but we hardly know even the tinest portion of the rules yet.

But the ancient roman empire to the their greater advancement would have a greater knowledge and understanding of science than we have their fore they would have more knowledge about the rules than we do.

So their knowledge of science would greatly surpass ours and their fore with our lack of understanding we would interpet it as magic.

Look, even if they had survived we would not be that much more advanced. In fact there is a possibility we would be less advanced.

You forgot to factor in the possibility that the materials required for said technological advancments may not be able to be found on earth and are therefore void. or that the only reason aliens would be capable of space travel would be due to an impossibly long lifespan or the presence of said materials. It's all relative really, depending on certain input a new discovery could rewrite all known laws of physics, but the chance of said discovery happening and not being overlooked are astronomically small.

Marv also has a point. Most of the worlds technology was brought on by an effort to outdo the enemy in times of war. If Rome had never fell it would be safe to assume that they would have rulled the world by now. Eventually population would explode and the wealth of the country would be so disperced that no one could afford the luxuries of tehcnology  and instead focus on farming and trying to just survive. otherwise the robots would hav just taken over.

So in conclusion, nobody has a clue what would happen.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

...............Okay I'll tell you what would happen, but I have to ask one question first.

will the roman empire eventually conquer the world in this scenario or no?

yes, but out of all of infinitum there is the most possible, barring some outer space event which did not happen in our past anyway so will most likely not happen in the Roman mock 3 past either.

It is impossible to accuratly predict what would happen if the roman empire had not fallen when it did.

Nothing is impossible, just improbably. and this isn't about if it didn't fall when it did, this is about if it never fell period.

Not always, just when somone incredibly incompetent takes the reigns, other than that you can keep them running indefinately.

WHEN AN IDOT TAKES THE REIGNS. The only reason empires ever actually fall are for two reasons. Civil unrest/being defeated by someone more powerful than you. If you have someone who is actually competent leading said empire, it shouldn't fall.
