Mmkay. So just indulge me here, folks.
I am officially ticked off at the people who portray crazy Christians in the movies, as well as the people who design those characters. I mean, normally, it would be something I just look at in passing, but really? Can there never be a sensible Christian in the midst to tell the crazy guy/gal/whatever to shut the heck up? Why must the clergy be the only decent Christians in movies, and all others a bunch of lunatics? And lots of times, even the clergy are either holy-roly Jesus freaks or freakin' drinking, cursing hypocrites.
Ugh...good God, that crap really bothers me. I mean it. If I ever get the opportunity to make a movie (you guys know me, I loves me some horror), then any crazy Christians that come up will immediately be punched the heck out by the decent Christian in the room. He might not be the main hero, but he'll dang sure be a force for good, not a freakin' antagonist.
(And, of course, any atheists, agnostics, Jews, Muslims, etc, are also welcome to the role, or to share in on it jointly, as my mood strikes me...)
Mmkay. Rant over.
Oh, and just so you know what got me in the mood to discuss this sort of thing...just watch
The Mist. The movie itself is decent, but dang, that LADY. She makes me wanna...GAH!
Okay. Really. I'm done now.
