In other news, I'm reading a large sci-fi wiki thingy.
I may start putting up setting info and stuff on this later.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Interesting.
Apparently some rich dude in this decided to make a clockwork machine with human level intellect. It's about 15~ Kilometers wide, in a cube that weighs a trillion tons. They think at 1/200th human speed. A day would seem like 50 years to them. They travel the universe in space, guiding themselves with steam propulsion and "Eating" comets and asteroids to maintain themselves. Rather cool, really.

Hmm..
So any suggestions/opinions on the rough level of technology in the setting?

Really high?
It would have to be considering our characters.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Really high?
Are.. you really sure? "Really high" would mean widespread cyberization/gene splicing, super-intellect AIs, millions of artificial habitats, nano-technology.. Basically, it would be possible to make an entire new species as a expression of artwork, or create a Dyson Sphere just to function as a zoo or build a new planet just to serve as a processing center for an AI that manages most of a solar system.. People would either be so tweaked by genetics enhancement's they'd live for centuries, practically immune to disease. Nearly Homo Sapiens Superior. Or be so enmeshed in with the web that they'd know nearly everything..

That would be interesting.
What level were you thinking.

Somewhat lower, in line with the proffered characters.. or what I recall of them.
Genetic Enhancement would be only affordable among the exceeding wealthy, though government funded gene tweaks would be common in colonies (Such as the ones on Luna, Venus and Mars.) On Venus they're much more common, because many biologists, geneticists and genetics engineers fled there during the period of tyrannical world governments following the recession caused by the economic failure of the Mars colonies. Robotics, Cyberization, Computing and Low AI is rather common in the domed cities on Luna. It's one of their chief exports. Most people have what could be called the descendants of today's Smart Phones. Most only have preprogramed responses, but a few ridiculously expensive ones have true AI. Robots are moderately common in the wealthier areas of Earth and ubiquitous on Luna. However, due to the ongoing Venus-Luna rivalry, robotics and true AI are very uncommon on Venus. Few Martians can afford any kind of gene-tweak or robotics. Only community owned farm-droids are present. So, for example, your average person living on Earth lives in a crowded apartment building in one of the sprawling megalopolises. They'll usually have a compact food processor, which combines various old kitchen appliances, a food storage unit, and possibly a few forms of entertainment. Holo-Vids were fairly popular during the last five years. The most important device they own will be their Comm. It's a combination Smart Phone, Secretary, Internet Connection and All-Around Entertainment Gadget. Most are programmed to simulate intelligence, but no normal person can afford an actual AI. The closest a normal person interacts with an true AI is when a particularly wealthy local city quadrant purchases an management AI to.. well, manage various public security droids, cleaning bots and internet directories. Most of the time, though, such robots are autonomous and rarely survive a week or two before being stolen and scrapped. This average person has small mandatory gene tweaks, such screenings for certain genetic disorders and degenerative diseases, as well as an increased resistance to common illnesses, air born pollutants. Occasionally, there will be a person who's parents budgeted for decreased food requirements. Non-synthetic food is something only the wealthy can afford, and the poorer districts can't afford even synth food sometimes. This is mostly due to extreme over-population.

Of course, you were doing the Blue Alien, so they'd have a higher tech level than normal humans.

Yup, Absolutely Terrible
No, you were fine. You should probably do the Fantasy RP before this one though.

It's a mood thing for me.
I feel like planning and thinking about this one now, since I've read a few sci-fi books and such. I just have to get that out of my system before I move back to fantasy. Oh, and do you have any questions on this?

I don't think we ever finished the Item part.
I'll have to refresh myself on everything I was supposed/wanting to have.

You wanted a cowboy-ish blue alien type. I'll see if I can give you more TK.

Question..
I'm trying to sort out what specific genre of Sci Fi you guys would enjoy.. Do you guys want to travel from planet to planet fairly easily (Like Star Wars), and often come across various new planets? Or do you want to be more or less in a single solar system? Do you want there to be plenty of alien species, or few? What kind of mood do you want this to have?

What about the Ship/horse/guns that we never took care of.
Planet travel I think. Plenty of aliens.

Horse?
Let's just say you have both the ship and the guns and the horse, as well as 2,000 $ left over. Anything else you want?

And when you say "Plenty" do you mean like enough that we meet a new species every other planet?
Which would be so much fun.

Currently, 4.
So you can lift.. 25.6 lbs if you spend eight seconds concentrating on it. You may lift 3.2 lbs in one second, and move them in any direction so long as it remains within your range of 10 yards.
