He's not just a CYborg, he's a Mary-Sue-borg.

I don't mind the alien part, or those specialties, if you can explain why he would have them. The monk part is also ok since alien cultures could have such things. I hate time traveling, though and dimension hopping is something I would like to avoid.. No cyborgness though. That's Marv's job.

Not that he could do those things. It's that he's been transported through the time-space continuum before. He's an experiment, and not really a cyborg by any definition. His "Creator" used certain precautions to make sure he didn't escape, and modified him for increased speed, strength, etc. After escaping (from the current experimentor), he started some of his own experiments in bio-mechanical devices and high-tech gadgets in this universe. He is only sorta a Monk because in a different universe it was a common practice, so after he escaped that experimentor, he became a monk. He's sort of clumsy and forgetful, but he can become chessmaster serious at times. He is experimented on often, as he is the last of an artificial race(and approximately the fifth).

That seems like too many things to pack into one character. Scientist, monk, experiment, Inventor, chess master, augmented, alien.

Re: Roleplay IN SPACE!

The alien part isn't an advantage in itself, it's just that he's not human, he could still be almost exactly the same as a normal human, just differences like bone or muscle structure. Everyone else has augmentations in some aspect, and he just has slightly improved physical capabilities. Being an experiment doesn't outright make him more powerful. I said he could become "chessmaster serious" when need be, not that he's a chessmaster. Being a scientist doesn't automatically make him awesome. I never said he was an inventor, just that he uses machinery. Most of the stuff is backstory, necessary secondary powers, his occupation, and his behavior.

You know..

While this has to wait for me to find those GURPS books again, there is something else sci-fi like that we could do.

I found it in another forum. Linky Here.

Though it involves a war between two groups of super-intellegent AI.

Greetings, Program!
I shall assist you in the construction of your first warmachine host!
First I must inform you that we limit new AIs Available Resources for constructing their robot, so you'll start with a base AR of 1000, but don't worry! As long as you haul in your quota of Resources you'll be given more AR and opportunities to upgrade or refit your robot as needed!
Failure to acquire satisfactory quantities of Resources from the field may result in reassignment to boring duties!

Your duties, in order of priority:

Bring resources back to the super-factory!
Types of resources include: metals, liquids, gases, trees, plants, animals, humans, enemy robots, friendly robot corpses, buildings, electricity, salvageable junk.
Secure resource deposits such as mines, lakes, forests and cities!
Kill the enemy! If not to claim them as resources then to stop them from claiming your resources!
