Sounds like he intended it to be an effort unaffiliated with another RP, sort of like Zale and Monsters on the Run.

Specifically, something like Domain but with all the bugs worked out.

Ah, that sounds intriguing...
And speaking of which, we put that on ice, or no?

So I recently have found out about a roleplay rulebook called Dungeon World and it is really interesting.
Site: http://www.dungeon-world.com/ Character Sheets: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3269630/dwdotcom/DungeonWorld_character_sheets.pdf It has some elements that I think could be worked into a RP rule set on here if we can replace the dice rolls with something that works better on a forum. The rule set seems to be based on giving the character's story options instead of just abilities like in D&D. For example, rolling dice can cause things to happen "Just as you say" or "It works but with a catch" or "It fails and your fate is left up to the GM." I found out about this rule set from itmeJP's channel on youtube. That channel has many series of streams of people playing roleplay games.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

That's actually pretty cool.

From what I've looked over, the rule set is pretty awesome so far.
I bought both the Dungeon World and the Grim World Supplement so far to support the developers and I've been arguing with myself about if I should buy some more class supplements or not. At the moment I have 17 classes worth of roleplay potential between the two. Some of the things that I really like about this ruleset is that gaining levels doesn't necessarily make your character exceptionally stronger but each level gives you more roleplaying options and that with the way it is laid out, a level 1 character is able to adventure with a level 10 without much hindrance so that the story never stops if someone dies. Plus the bonds that is has between characters and alignments that award exp makes it so that players want to stay in character. And this explains why the combat can be so good even with how simple it is: The 16 HP Dragon

So then are you suggesting we try this?
It sounds interesting.

Potentially. I already bought what we would need to play it.
Only problem is doing dice on the forum.

/tg/ has it's own built in dice roller. Does Nabble offer something similar?

Not that I've been able to find.
The best we could do is use this dice rolling website that Zale found before.

This forum seems to be HTML based. Unless there is a HTML function for rolling dice then I don't think we have one built in.

I'm just playing around, but there are several nice sites for dicerolling anyway... like random.org or the hypertext d20.

But this doesn't allow you to make a roll and let others see it.

I tried that site the other day and it must have been down for maintenance or something because I could not get it to work. Glad to see it was only temporary.

That's a pretty great map, it gives you ideas but leaves a whole lot to the imagination.

Desertpunk being home to nomadic raiders that use Caster Rifles stolen from the Egyptian Aliens and are an annual threat to both Agypt and Casa Veni. And when it's not the desert punks it's the damn prates from Tortuga pillaging Venicien ships for loot or, god forbid, those drowned kingdom heathens boosting their population by grabbing a boatload of sailors and forcing polyps down their throats.
