I'm surprised you haven't used an Alex Mercer esc power yet, like something that allows someone to transform their body into basically anything they can imagine while regenerating from something as small as a toenail, the catch to do this they have to devour matter, the impressive thing they devour and absorb the memories as well, alowing them to exactly copy them down to the molecular structure.
Welcome one and All to the Jesters Carnival, where the prizes are greater than your wildest dreams, but the nightmares here shall silence you before you can even scream.

I think I will write a story with the rapture idea, but with a weakness for each as well.
Name: Jack Newman Power: Teleportation. Jack can teleport across barriers, with no known rapture stopping him. This cannot be affected by other raptures. Side effect: Jack has the body of a dog. Side: Jack is teamed with a team called The Canines, who believe that canine and lupine raptures are superior to humans and other raptures. They intend to capture the world. Name: Joseph Harrison Rapture: Psychometry. Joseph can see the past and future of an object by touching it. He also seems to have and incredible sense of smell and touch. Side effect: Joseph, like Jack, has the body of a dog. Side: He met Jack, then joined The Canines with him. The Canines: -All have dog or wolf traits. Includes many werewolves. -Are attempting to conquer the world, as they believe themselves superior to humans and even other raptures. -The Canines are known to be manipulated by a mysterious telepath with power mimicry abilities. The Enchanter believes this person to be Nathan Walker.

It's just Alex Mercer has a lot more than one power and one side effect. I might add a rapture like him later.
Here's a question, if the rapture virus appeared in real life, would you infect yourself with it?

Um, superpowers at the risk of becoming hideously deformed and monstrously impaired, putting my overall wellbeing in danger just for a shot at potentially gaining a superhuman capability??? I'm SHOCKED you would even ASK!
(I'll think about it...)

Emo =/= Goth.
I'm just telling you this so that the Goths don't hunt you down and kill you for saying that.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Basically, Emo is much much whiny-er.. er.

Emos hate their own lives, despite being much more fortunate than typical middle class (how do you think they afford all that black and red); Goths hate everybody ELSE, despite being more fortunate than typical middle class.
Basically, they're bitter to the world for no reason, and believe somehow that their lives are miserable, despite having better fortunes than most. The real diff is who the hostility's directed at.

I'd rather deal with hatred as apposed to excessive whining.

Ergo, the Normal-on-Emo violence game in the game section. Let out all that hostility you hold toward whiny, wimpy emo kids and still maintain a composure of nonviolence in the real world. Everybody wins!

I'm not sure that that many of them are that well off.

How else would they afford their designer clothes to express their disdain for life? They have to write poetry about something! It wouldn't be that fun to pretend to be miserable if you didn't actually have to pretend!

O.o That's kind of Edgar Alan Poe-ish.

How conversations change; first would you infect yourself with the rapture virus and a few posts afterwards we start discussing goths and emos.
Shall we start submiting some more raptures?

I have received permission from Ninchila. He says that us proceeding with the idea for the Rapture Virus is PERFECTLY fine with him. In fact, I believe he even said he'd be watching the site to see how it progresses from time to time.
So, that's your cue, fellas, time to break out your best freaks, oddballs and weirdos. The Rapture Virus is upon us...
