So they are mostly an alternate Titan Mech? Can they fuse with Support mechs like Titans do?
Do we have Force Fields, Sensors (Heat, 3D, Movement, Etc), Satellites, Lasers, Nano-Machines, Organic Machines, Solid Energy (For creating shields, swords, hooks, etc), any sort of adaptive equipment, Remote cockpits, Hacking devices, etc?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Yes and Yes. Mech fusion is pretty flexible right now in regard to what can fuse and how they fuse.
Good ideas, I hadn't thought of movement sensors. Though Nano or Organic machines seem a bit out there and I'm not sure how effectively they could be used.

They could be future discoveries during the RP if we ever reach a milestone. Perhaps people could dump money into research instead of just into their mechs in order to obtain new types of technology.

I may end up making them rare specialty parts. Things only obtainable by salvaging them from a mech that possesses it.

When you say fighting for resources, can I assume this means that new mechs are few and far between, and that most people are using dug up, worn out, salvaged junkers?

Oh, I thought we would be going with polished well-built military mechs. Is that what we are going with?

Yes and no, Mechs can be well built and polished, but that takes cash and resources. Many pilots have heavily used mechs that are best described as a "mash up of different parts and mods" the better pilot you are the more money you can make and get the best service.
There is however a corporation that seems to be able to manufacture new Mechs and parts for a substantially overpriced fee. Where they are getting the resources to do so is a mystery, but a few brave pilots will attempt to steal these new parts with great risk. Basically, you'll be starting with less than new mechs, but can slowly build your way up to the sleek and shiny.

Here's a rough draft of the Starting Shop. Some items don;t have a price or description just yet, but this will give you an idea of the type of stuff you'll get. I welcome as many suggestions as possible to expand possibilities, since I can't possibly think of everything myself.

About how much money would we start with?

Haven't figured that out yet....possibly something like 210k? I'll have to adjust a lot of the prices as they are currently in vast disarray. Mostly I just threw up holding numbers to remind me which parts were rare and which were not.
This is proving more difficult than I anticipated.

Before we start making profiles we might want to work things out for prices so things do not get out of hand later.
Maybe think how many components you think a starter mech should have (With rarer components counting as multiple components as far as this is concerned because they would cost more) then base the starting price on that.

Submitted for approval.
"Old Burt" Bestial Tank Mech Power: 3 Defense: 8 Speed: 1 Control: 3 Weapon: 8 Specialty: 0 Cockpit: Basic Fusion Lock: Local (Head) Power Source: Electricity Primary Weapon: Shell Cannon (Gun) A large artillery piece on the back of Burt's shell, capable of laying down artillery fire on distant targets. Snapping Render (Melee) Old Burt's head snaps forward to catch another mech with it's jaws, whereupon the jury rigged saws coating the inside of the mouth begin to rotate at high speed. Secondary Weapons: Shell Guns (*6, Gun) Six pair of heavy machine guns, three each on the left and right sides of Burt's shell. Hidden most of the time, but capable of "popping out." Capable of rotating like a clocks hands to shoot forwards, backwards, down, and up. Cheek Guns (*2, Gun) Two machine guns, situated on either side of Burt's head. Underbite Shotguns (*2, Guns) A pair of shotguns situated on the underside of Burt's lower jaw. Utility Weapons: Shell Mortars (Gun) A hidden weapon in the very top of Burt's shell, the covering segment will flip open and allow the 4 mortar cannons to fire. The Mortars will fire away from Burt in a full 360 degrees around the mech if the pilot sop wills. The pilot can also opt for a more localized delivery by firing less of the cannons. The mortar cannons rotate in their holding pen, allowing them to cover any direction.

Love it....absolutely love it. Now, tell me....what about the Mech building process could be improved?

I was worried that I had put too much gun onto it. Looking at the rules, however, it't looks like I might not have enough.
Nothing wrong that I can see, other than the cockpit options being biased toward humanoid mechs.

Would a pure melee mech be viable in this RP?
