I am not a linear thinker. I don't plan in order. I think of bits and pieces and connect them as I can later.

Well, I'm not sure what to do about that.

Perhaps a whole Carmen Sandiego + Sailor Moon thing.

1. Trying to follow/predict the path of the villain, picking up new friends and non-main-villain-related enemies along the way.

2. Sometimes arrive a bit too late, and pick up the pieces of what the bad guy leaves behind. Try to help recovering victims, build up destroyed things, solve mysteries, etc...

3. Sometimes arrive on time to track/stop/confront the villain's forces, but only occasional glimpses of the main villain. Mostly, though, it's his cronies and henchmen. And perhaps some undercover folks who seem benevolent, but plot underhandedly to take down the villain's enemies and extend the villain's rule.

4. Occasionally discover bits and pieces of information pertaining the heroes' past, and the villain's past, and keys to the villain's weaknesses, or favorite targets, or some attack plans, or whatever.

The pilot should be something like an outer-space bandit caravan heading toward a space-shrine dedicated to the deity character you created. That could actually be, like, two or three episodes if you do it right. I'll see if I can't get GV to lend his opinion on it.

Yeah, I think Shad was referencing a character he believes I already made. If not, I'd rather not make a deity.

Marv the Mad-Hat wrote
The Prophet
This fellow. I looked back, though, and realized you said 'god-like being'. As in, not a deity. My mistake.

Anyhow, I meant The Prophet, the being that created The Doomsayer.

What Shadowulf1 (Wulf) should have wrote

Yeah, He's more of an outside force looking in. Few are aware of his presence, let alone his existence.

 I see.

Then, perhaps some sect worshiping an actual deity, then (I can come up with a name and domain if you like, but the deity itself is unimportant, since the story spans numerous dimensions). Maybe the worshipers' outpost is looking for the deity they worship, and has instead accidentally spied (and recorded) the existence of the Doomsayer. Now, the baddies are coming to destroy the evidence (the recording, anyone who may have viewed the recording, and the recording device itself) because they want to keep the Doomsayer's existence a secret, allowing his villainy to go unnoticed until it's too late.

I'm thinking I need to go in and clearly lay out all the plans for this in a timeline for my own sanity

 Sounds good.

And what do you think of my idea?

Not sure yet. I don't know how it'll play to the overall theme of my story so far. It made me realise I need to work on it more before I can incorporate more things.

It just that if I don;t lay it all out I fear you guys may get the wrong impression about certain particularities of the story. Its hard to transfer my thoughts to a post.

Well, make sure to stress that you're only posting a TENTATIVE timeline for your story. Let them know that it's a work in progress, and thus is bound to be very fuzzy, and subject to numerous revisions.

I have faith that Marv knows what he's doing, even if it takes a couple tries to get it right.
