Categories. I like categories and making things based on categories of things.

So do the factions have different religions?  Or is that not a factor?

Since I can't imagine that after hiding from the radiation that all humans become atheist.

Yes, they have religion, but that is mostly an unimportant detail except in the case of the Solar Faction and the New Templars.

Actually, from what I've seen in human society, unless the apocalypse is plainly brought about (or resolved) by deities, there's still plenty of room for dispute. Many cling tighter to religion, and many remain godless, but there's plenty who make switches, either way.

Either way, its a rather irrelevant point for the story n most cases.

Not that I wanted to make it more important than it is.

Anyhow, have you decided what you want to be the plot yet?

The main plot would revolve around the True Source and possibly from a main character finding it

*ahem* I meant, any major events within that broad, slightly vague plot.

Because it's not as though they would actual being doing the best, seeing as how clean and efficient a nuclear reactor runs.

The few people that still use nuclear energy would be doing the best out of any of the nations because of how efficiently a reactor can pump out energy, especially for a small number of people like you implied. And if they're still using it that means they understand what went wrong last time and that with the proper, routine maintenance there is almost zero chance of a reactor actually melting down.

Or because Nuclear power was outlawed and its users isolated, they've had to make do with minimal technology and leeching source from the irradiated ground. Leaving them with barely enough to go around.

I know that the overall plot has some holes if compared with reality, but so does every sci-fi story.

Some updated info on Guardians.

Guardians (May change that title later) were created by the Prophet shortly after the creation of the Multiverse. They were created as personifications of forces that the Prophet thought were essential to the continuation of the multiverse. As such there were many of them. I don't have a definitive number for their numbers and probably never will. Guardians come in pairs, each having an equal and opposite to which they are naturally drawn to through rivalry, friendship, love or hatred.

Each Guardian is represented by three colors. These color combinations represent the three major aspects that go into each guardians representative force. They will show up a lot but never be directly explained.

The Guardians I have planned so far Include:
Justice
Retribution
Logic
Luck
Greed
Philanthropy

As the multiverse continued the guardians eventually died, but the forces they represented did not. Whenever they are needed a person amongst the universes is chosen to become the new guardian of that force and slowly comes to embody it and gains all the powers associated with it. The four main characters are force such people, chosen to be guardians.

Others guardians will be present throughout the story but will not be integral to stopping the Doomsayer because of a series of loopholes and weird plot stuff that happens. I;ve got all that planned out already, but won;t post it here just yet to prevent spoilers.

Thoughts?
