You make a little baby universe by pinching off part of the normal universe.

Mini-Big-Bang makes the universe expand, along with the nanites you shoved in there. The nanites consume the rich hot plasma to make high-speed computing circuitry and then attempts to solve some problem. Eventually, the baby universe begins to contract because it can't expand indefinitely, and the computer is forced to become more and more durable while still solving the problem.

Due to the way it works, it allows you to shove a near-infinite amount of thinking in a finite amount of time.

Great at solving problems.

A really big Tipler Oracle could last a very, very long time. If it was given the means to communicate with the outside world through the wormhole that leads to it, it could be a NPC of sorts.

I like this. So much in fact, I want to make it a main part of the story. I shall begin work at once!

Making an entire universe just to solve a single problem.

It's quite incredible.

On an unrelated note. I had a thought for a bisected character. He was split into two forms due to some tragically awesome event I've yet to formulate. One form is locked permanently into a single point in space (the point where he diverged) and can travel throughout time in that single location, unable to move. The other form is locked into a single point in time (the few moments when he diverged and must relive those moments on loop for eternity, but he can move instantaneously anywhere in the known universes within those moments.

The two are mentally lost and cannot remember where the other is to join back again and need assistance. I don;t know if I'll use them or not at this moment. What do you think?

I think it's pretty damn cool.

Eternity to see but no where to go, everywhere to go but no time to see.

I really love the idea as well, but I can't think of a way to use it effectively as a plot device.

He knows where -or- when something is, but can't tell you unless his halves are reunited.

That could work. Anywho if you get any other ideas let me know. Even vague, half formed ones. Concept art is also very helpful, even if its crudely drawn. Visual Character design is hard sometimes.

Epic.

Welcome to Bizbie's Circus Of Wonders, where you can find such amazing things as.. A One Headed Dog! A Bearded Man, and most excitingly of all, a Statistically Average Sized Woman!

In case anyone want to do some character designing to help me out I'll post the base I use to design my characters. Feel free to use it to flesh out character ideas with an image.

Seriously, this is what I use to start all my characters. There's no arms because I do my arms custom each time to suit different sleeve lengths or arm types. But I can post an example of my arms if anyone needs it.

If I get ideas, I'll give it a try.

Of course, body shapes other than that are acceptable, but its a good starting point.

Well, I'm not really great with the actual visual design of characters online (if I manage to make some on paper, I may scan them onto here), but profiles I can do. No need for anything particularly complex, but hopefully you'll like some.

And, since you're involving all genres, that should make things much easier.

I'll get started soon.

Drawings don't have to be detailed. I just need representations to go off of. Profiles are well and fine, but in animation the look of a character is far more important as it is the main method of conveying the personality.

I need character design the most.

First I'd need a concept.

Hmmm.

Hm.

Hmmmm.

They remind of art from Foamy the Squirrel! Nice.
