Lords of Creation (Story Thread 2)

Out of the 20 Dragonborn in the gang, nine were already in the room, with three guarding the exit. Four remained to guard the entrance, three were almost inside the chamber, and the last four were on their way.

One of the guards in the room jumped forward from behind, even if he were to be stabbed, he was prepared to grab on to the intruder and force her to the ground.

[Zaleramancer]

The woman swiveled on the ball of her foot, parrying sword carving through the dragonborn's scales as he flew past her.. towards the big guy.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"My...my name? I don't have a name."

[Philote]

Balasar tossed a dagger so that one had was holding both of his weapons, then used his free hand to throw the incoming Dragonborn behind him.

More guards ran into the room, and several attacked simultaneously at Sonia.

Kagehana: "That's a pity. I would have loved to hear it."

Lily and Kyouko cast 2 more Miracles, this time both on the imps (-0 motes, Inherent Actions for both of them). The first gave the imps the power to increase their own power levels by eating the heart of another being from any race, but only if the heart is removed while the being is still alive. The second Miracle given to the imps allowed the stronger ones to copy the forms of those whose hearts they had eaten, but only form, memories and powers would not be copied. Lily and Kyouko then returned to work on the Core Temple.

Anima watched as the Humans finished yet another college of magic. Their progress was incredible, but the human's natural ability to adapt would only take them so far, and if it was not enough for the humans, the other races would surely need help. Anima would need not be able to make the necessary change himself though, he would need to seek help.

Thus, the Major-Spirit stepped into the Plane of Heroes to set things in motion.

[Zaleramancer]

So beings the blade dance.

Sonia's swords crossed with a snap as she took a shallow breath of the detoxifying air.

She swept into a dizzying pattern of thrust, parry and dodge- weaving a wall of steel around herself.

[Philote]

Three more Dragonborn fell. There were only eleven left fighting in the chamber now. Those that were able to let out more poisonous breath as they fought at the same time, even the guards at the exit moved forward to overwhelm Sonia.

Balasar took the front of the fight, using his daggers against Sonia's blades. All the while, roaring out clouds of poison and sprays of acid.

"Where would I find a name? I feel like I need one."

[Zaleramancer]

The spray marked Sonia, leaving patch marks on her skin.

"You amuse me." She said, heedless of the poisoned air.

"Already trying to kill me, and we haven't even been introduced!" The woman moved into the defensive, parrying blows by dagger and claw.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "You could try to make it yourself, have someone else name you, or maybe let the name come to you randomly. Personally, I like the first idea more, but it's your choice."

"You know of our lair, we can not simply let you leave" Balasar says between breaths.

[Zaleramancer]

"And you plan to stop me?" Sonia said a bit hoarsely.

The flat of her larger sword snapped against Balasar's hand as the parrying sword blocked his other.

"I am Sonia. Daughter of Indki and Gadvaj, Sister of Jdydhiaei and wife of Gzb."

"These names mean nothing to you, do they?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Name myself....hmmm, yes. I could do that. Thank you ever so much. A name a name at last! But what will it be....oh it's so hard to choose............I've got it! I shall cal myself....Sarina! I am Sarina!"

[Philote]

"Not at all" the Balasar replies, his ghostly eyes glaring "We will fight till our last breaths if we have to."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "Nice to meet you then, Sarina Goddess of Architecture. You're the Architect of your own name and that's likely a good step into your domain."

[Zaleramancer]

"Now, who told you I need to breathe?" Sonia said with a smile.

Her swords began to slowly accelerate, moving more and more on the offensive.

[Philote]

(Silly Zale, I said till the Dragonborn's last breaths.)

The Dragonborn do not let up on their attack, their ghostly eyes traveling in circles around Sonia. Blood and acid mix in a pool on the ground.

[Zaleramancer]

A dagger nicks her arm as Sonia stabs at an opening in one of the dragonborn's defenses. Despite her obvious exertion, she shows no signs of shortness of breath.

Her boots are acid-bitten and her cloak is becoming quite ragged from the corrosive air.

Another Dragonborn falls as the group begins to diminish in number.
