[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Oh, very much so. I freed the slaves on this island and have been working for the past day trying to shuffle them back to where they belong. Also someone tried to set you after me," and with that he cast an accusatory look back toward the shoreline. The Watchman may not have eyes, but whatever he did have Gilgamesh could feel it Boring into him.

"Now, you have been wronged, and I do not object to you kicking the one who did so in the teeth. However, I do ask you do this personally to Gilgamesh, and leave the peoples of the island out of it."

[Zaleramancer]

"I am sorry." She said as she sniffed the air, looking for the enemies she knew where there. "My Mistress has commanded this, and I must carry it out. Please, I do not wish to have to harm you."

Her eyes catch on something silvery in the trees, and a spirit warrior leaps out. Soon Undines and Warriors are scrabbling and swarming. The agile Undines danced past swords, while the experienced Warriors made decisive blows.

"BEGONE!" Coral shouted as she drew her sword.. Divine power poured from her voice and the sword, and several of the Warriors imploded from the force of it.

"I must aid my sisters!" The Goddess joined the fray, sword flashing.

Hoseki, Akako, and Kizuato returned with a trembling Yukionna and a trembling Yukiotoko.Mina turned to them, "You three leave to finish the preparations for the contingent leaving for the Free Cities. You two what are your names?"

The Yukionna responded as the Shadow-Scarred left, "M-m-my name is Koriko and-"

The Yukiotoko cuts in, "-I am Koriko's brother, Fubuki. We-"

"-Are twins."

Mina walks over to them, "Alright then, I am going to make the two of you the first Yukionna and Yukiotoko heroes. You'll be going with the contingent going to the Free Cities to defend both theFree Cities and the contingent (-2 for 2 heroes, +2 for defending domain)."

The two felt the rush of power as they became heroes under Mina, "Thank you, mistress!"

Mina: "Now go do the duty I have assigned to you both."

As the two run out to go to the contingent, Kagehana steps back from the Mirror of Potential and exhales, "Wow! That was crazy!"

Mina: "It's supposed to be a test afterall. Now let's go aid Gilgamesh in his fight against Hazet. Using your shadow transportation we can get there quickly."

Kagehana: "Yes, mistress."

The two slip through the shadows to where Gilgamesh's forces have gathered.

Mina: "We're here to give aid in the fight where is Gilgamesh?"

It Is Far To Late, My Friend. The Gears Of War Have Already Been Set In Motion. Cities Shall Burn. People Shall Die. I Wish It Could Be Otherwise.

The god continued to advance, and spoke again in a slightly sickened voice.

Gilgamesh Will No Doubt Revel In the Slaughter.

Gilgamesh observed the newcomers, suspicious. "I have other matters to attend to, if you are truely here to help, do something about the invaders on the other side of the island."

Uburra-Namall's face fell as she observed longer.

This wasn't simply disagreement and strife, now...this...this was getting serious!

If things went too far...she might even have to intervene. How could worlds be fruitful in a state like this? How could they thrive? If there were discord among the very forces of nature...between water and fire...between earth and air...why, all the world would be torn up in the chaos!

Oh, indeed, this was simply going too far.

If they continued this, and threatened to harm that which was good and beautiful and right...she would have to punish them.

With that, an idea came...just the perfect partner in her judgment.

The Watchman looked at the forces gathered for the battle, and a great feeling of impotence washed over him. He could do nothing to stop this, and he knew it. All he could do was keep the damage to a minimum, and try to make sure things never reached this stage again. Really, at this point there was only one thing he could say:

"Give him hell."

He then flew to the center of the island, and called his watchers to him. Every last one.

"I need you to find all the civilians and transport them away from this island! Take they south, Crav and Gil are on friendly terms, not even counting his friendship with me."

"But Watchman, how are we to transport them?"

The Watchman reached out and sent his power into his Servitors. Their Grey cloaks, before merely to show their alliance, now could take in and hold and hide and store almost any amount. With this, they could carry the populace to safety. (-2)

"Go, save as many as you can!" (+1)

The watcher obeyed, streaming down through the towns and villages like phantoms, enveloping men, women, and children of all races of the island.

Gil's army might be able to hold Hazet at bey long enough, but as the Watchman looked down he saw that Waverider's forces had decide to make an appearance. That was no good, the watchers needed time. So it was, with a heavy heart, he allowed himself to drop from the sky into the middle of the undine front.

A Simple sword materializing in his hand, The Watchman looked out at the stunned undine, particularly an important one carrying a magic sword. The Watchman spoke.

"I take no pleasure in this, but you get further into the island only through me. We both, after all, have masters we must serve."

Mina: "Alright then, that'll work. Take us there, Kagehana."

Kagehana and Mina slip through the shadows yet again, this time into the battle between Coral's Undine forces and Gilgamesh's ghostly warriors. Mina draws Murakumo while pulling out Yata, Yaskani, and Mugen, before tying Yasakani and Mugen on to the end of Murakumo as Kagehana draws out Kagenobara and both charge into the fight. More Shadow-Scarred slip into the battle to aid their goddess and Gilgamesh's forces bringing with them Raiju, Kitsune, Tanuki, and Nekomata. The Raiju, Kitsune and Nekomata proceed to attack, the Raiju with claws, fangs, and lightning; the Kitsune with fire, fangs, and claws; and the Nekomata with fangs, claws, and magic while the Tanuki heal wounded allies.

"Bahamut, Yojimbo, advance. Lay them all to waste."

The great sage dragon rose into the air, the Well of Eternity's power causing his eyes to glow. Yojimbo followed behind him, drawing Muramasa. A red aura forming over his metal body. They both attacked at once. A wave of magical fire from Bahamut and a swing of a blade from Yojimbo that would part the seas.

All was lost. Gods far more powerful than her had appeared, with heroes and strange beasts in tow.

They fell on the Undines, who were falling. They fought ferociously, but there were to many.. far to many.

Her sisters were dying. So many.. Dying.

"No!" She screamed, as she gathered power in her blade. The water far behind her answered her call, and a wave burst forth.

For a brief second, the forest was underwater.. then the power ebbed, and it was gone- the Undines with it.

Many of the strange beasts and beings had been taken with it, though most of the heroes remainined.. The two Gods barely seemed phased.

Coral shoved her sudden weariness aside and struck out with her blade.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

The blade easily cleaved through the Watchman's own, mundane weapon. Her nest stroke, however, was stooped the palm of the Gods hand, which proceeded to grip the blade and hold it there, unmoving.

"Don't be a fool, girl. Your lines have been broken. Run away. No one would blame you."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Mina raised Ame-no-Murakumo as Kagehana activated Kagenobara's power causing the shadows around to turn into sharp petals that then flew quickly at Coral. Mina channeled the powers of the Raiju, Kitsune, Yukionna, and Yukiotoko through Ame-no-Murakumo to strike with fire, ice, and lightning and knock the Queen of Undines out of the battle.

[Zaleramancer]

Coral is wrecked from her sword by the blast and lands sprawled against a tree.

She weakly attempts to stand, only to collapse backwards.

"At least.. some.. of my sisters.. live." She said brokenly.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

The Watchman was left with the artifact sticking out of him as the Undine fell away. He quickly ran to check her, and was relived that she still lived.

He turned to the Goddess on the shore and what was left of her entourage.

"That wasn't necessary."  He said, yanking the sword from his hand and giving it a few practice swings. He then gently picked up the unconscious Coral and layed her down in the ocean water, letting her drift into the waiting arms of her sisters.

"You must be the Demon Goddess I've heard about. What's your name?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Mina rolls her eyes, "Each being's idea of necessary is different and unique and part of what you advocate is uniqueness, is it not? I am Mina, Goddess of Demons, Youkai, and Shadows. Hmmmm, I wonder whether or not they'll need help with the other gods in this battle?"

One of the tanuki approaches Mina, "Mistress, shall we take the wounded back for full healing?"

Mina: "Yes, have the Shadow-Scarred take all wounded back. Those who aren't wounded and can still fight should stay just in case they're needed."

The Shadow-Scarred and all the others hurry off to do as Mina ordered.

[Zaleramancer]

A few Undines rose to take Coral. One of them gazed at the Watchman with an expression somewhere between hate and betrayal. She hissed something in her language before diving below the waves with the others.

(Well, the Undines now hate anything relating to you two now. Curse -1, (15 Motes remaining) They don't really understand what's happened, only that you two have beaten their beloved older sister into unconsciousness...)

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Great fanged guilt slithers up the Watchman's spine. He sighs, dejected.

"Not really, someone has the right to conform if they wish to. I just do my best to make sure they have a choice in the matter. I'm the Watchman, by the way. What's your stake in this fight?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Mina: "My stake in the fight is the fact that I absolutelydislike Hazet because he made the wall that separates my lands from his and keeps my demons from entering, although I also have a contingent of Yukionna and Yukiotoko in the Free Cities with twin heroes among that group. So, you and I are both allies as far as defending those cities is concerned."

Kagehana assesses the results of combat among those left on the field while the gods talk.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"If you're will to defend those cities than I thank you, but I really have no problem with Hazet beating Gilgamesh. In fact, at this point I would love to watch. But enough about that..."

The Watchman wanders to the waters edge. There, the waves lapping at his boots, he calls out "WAVERIDER, YOU CHILD!  I'LL BET GOOD MONEY YOU WERE WAITING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO THROW A TANTRUM LIKE THIS! COME UP HERE AND ANSWER TO ME!"

[Zaleramancer]

Hazet watched as the two gods rose in flight. Behind him rumbled a storm with Waverider lounging within.

"Ready to crush them?"

Yes.
