Interesting, so then would Mina lose the Multiple Incarnations skill where she lives multiple lives at once? Or would she keep it?
And Lily and Kyouko would definitely keep their skills where they control fire/ice hotter/colder than that normally found on a planet. Unfortunately, no I don't remember the name of the pics as I'd just found them. All I remember is searching "Person with bandana over their eyes."

I agree completely and totally with that. Using skills as a specific actions seems limiting anyways.

Yes, it raises the interesting problem of how to implement abilities like that.

By the by, did anyone want to add any lands to the extended map or shall I set it in stone so to speak.

I'll have to take another look at this when it is not so late, but from what I see you're changing skills from "I can do this" to "These are the types of things I can do" correct?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

I'm thinking that for the sake of making Domains useful, Gods get a bonus on anything related to their Domain.
Now I'm beginning to worry about the reverse.. Let's see.. 5 stat god, 5 in skill, domain 2, Miracle ?(Subbing 5). 17. For one particular singular action at the cost of 4 motes. Without any skill.. 12. For any single action within domain and appropriate for the stat at the cost of 4 motes. Without Miracle.. 7 Without domain.. 5 Pantheon Leaders are god-like, huh?

Yes, basically.
The part about how this affects gods is rather important.

I can't really tell if that's a good or bad thing. I guess it all depends on how high you think things should naturally go.

I'm thinking about making 15 the hard cap.
Since I haven't even begun to factor in artifacts. I was also thinking about Miracles. Blessings or Curses upon individual beings could be interesting. For a Miracle, a deity can bestow a blessing or curse on a single non-divine individual. This manifests itself as a either a bonus/penalty from 1 to 4 on a particular skill, or a skill with 1 to 4 ranks. The combined total of all ranks or blessing levels a god bestows may not exceed twice their highest stat. So, for example, a Stat 5 Deity can have two people with rank 4 blessings/curses (And one with 2) or five people with rank 2. These blessings or curses last until they are removed by the god that bestowed them. A god may remove a blessing or curse at any time from any range. This would allow you to enhance favored heroes or mythical beasties. Or nerf the hell out of one you don't like. Balanced?

Sounds balanced to me. Makes it so that we can't hand out miracles like candy...as some people did early on.

Oh, okay, so I don't have to work on this post for the Beta? That's good, especially since it was so difficult to recall from memory after losing it when Firefox crashed; I mean, the post itself wouldn't be so hard, only I keep falling asleep at strange times due to wonky sleep habits. The sooner we get to the Second Age, though, the better.

Basically..
We can have the whole colonial thing-exploring the untamed lands-mystery-exotic.. ... But if you already have an established cities and civilizations on the outer lands, then that can't happen. Because you're already there. You'd have skipped the fun.

Well, sure it's a great writing exercise for me, but nothing more than that, if nobody else is invested in it. The purpose of the Beta seems to have faded, and most folks are ready to move onward to the Second Age, as am I. My only thing is that I wanted to bring in Dash (*ahem* Dasha) to the Second Age, and especially her lovely Veelas, as they represent Uburra-Namall's domains quite beautifully.
Other than that, I'll live. It kinda sucks that you guys realized this way after I and a couple other first proposed it (and by the time I actually was kinda getting back into it), but at least everybody is back on the same page. The Beta wasn't really necessary, and we should be focused now on the Second Age (rules, characters, plot and all). That's good. So...yeah, I'm cool. Oh, um, except you need to respond to my NB post.

No, the point was not to have land already staked out prior to the story having started. I intended to establish myself there, but that was just a heads-up OOC. In-game, you guys can go about exploring and colonizing as you like. Even if you took over the land, I wouldn't be angry. Seeing as how it was never mine to start with.
I was just voicing my opinion; those territories would be rather choice for my pantheon.

I'm not sure I understand the first part of that statement.

I didn't mean to predestine my arrival at, and establishment of that land. I only wanted to mention that my pantheon would really appreciate having it. Just putting out a suggestion, whether or not anyone took said suggestion.

So.
Do we have a love triangle yet? Every myth needs a good love triangle.
