Re: Lords Of Creation 14 (OCC)

Speaking of, we have to differentiate all these magics running around.

We have a School descended from Zaya, a very versatile sort of thing. I imagine there's ritualism, but the effects are huge and can be cast from far away.

Then we got Pitching, which is really only good for quickdraw, small scale, "wham, bam, thank ya' ma'am" type things. Each one requires a material component.

Phi's people have that Mana well that they have to draw from to do things, I'm not sure how that would effect spell-casting.

And finally we have Mina's, where I'm not quite sure how things work.

Also, because I kind of sniped the page:

So then, Gilgamesh's magic is based on using mana from that Well of his. Mina's is based on utilizing the innate power within yourself to influence the world around you to do as you wish for it to do.

Also, I'm not sure if this falls in with those but the Durhians  have a very mild form of magic that I've hinted at before. Some can imbue small  amounts of ambient magic into their craft The effects of this are small and sometimes unnoticeable. So nothing like a fire shooting sword. Things like a pack that holds more than it should or a blade that retains its sharpness far longer than an average blade.

That's accurate.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Strangely I read all of pages 42 to 46, but 47 and 48 were too tiring to get all the way through. Anyone mind summarizing those two for me, so I can catch up, and add a relevant piece to the story, to catch up again?

I'm always on! Apparently, a half-month's worth of insufficient internet funds, takes away from previous months of near-constant presence on the site?

Anyhow...what do you need to know about my precious Boquabians, for your seductress?

You know what I didn't mean that you're never on...you were just absent until today.

Anyways, I just need the basics. Looks, abilities, general attitudes...that kinda stuff.

We discussed the events that happened, made a few decisions then Crav reveled the new moon and we all went home happy. At this point, just a reaction to the new moon will suffice I think.

The Reptilians are living in Spectropolis, The moon is back and everybody loves Crav, everyone now knows about everything that went on up until the point the Monster King was defeated. Except that Gilgamesh was in any way involved with the berserkers.

Okay, well, if you remember, Boquabians are colorful beings. Any given Boquabian will have at least two matching, complimentary colors on their body (ex: "Jakana" has blue skin, yellow hair and green eyes; "Kyssi" has pink skin, blue hair and blue eyes). Some may have patterns such as spots, stripes, patches, freckles, etc, though it is not a necessity; it occurs in only about half the population. And it is rare that a Boquabian has more than one pattern (spots + stripes, etc).

Boquabians are also naturally beautiful, with their maximum height range slightly taller than normal humans (max is around 8' for males and 7' for females). You would be hard pressed to find an overly obese or overly skinny Boquabian. And even without washing, their hair doesn't mat, their teeth don't rot, and they never get acne or similar appearance marring flaws.

And the typical Boquabian attitude tends to be reflective of at least one of Uburra-Namall's domains: love, passion, creativity or inspiration. As such, they tend to be artistic, poetic, musical, thoughtful, curious and/or philosophical.

Okay, so how would you suggest I post? I'm gonna add in a bit about the moon, but also Uburra-Namall's reaction to everybody loving Crav (likely establishing that Uburra-Namall and Crav are an item) and some more character development for, um, a certain member of my pantheon. But is there more I need to add?

And, um...Reptilians. You mean Phi's Dragonborn?

And just out of curiosity, how likely do you see a Boquabian being evil?

Well, pretty likely, actually, with the addition I planned on posting tonight. I'm gonna finally establish Jissei as a real bringer of evil, rather than just the bringer of harm that he's been thus far.
