I'm still flattered. It's nice when folks are inspired by your work.

Well to be fair, I was not so much inspired by your Boquabians as it was that they were the best fit for my plans.

I kind of like Phi's.

It would mean that a standard Miracle would be about four days of waiting, normally.

So it's not something you could spam without having to worry about needing it later.

Zale, I ... modified the mutation from the Mirror of Potential. I was playing around with ideas in my head and I decided on the final form of the mutation which I'm going to call "Insignia."

Sorcery..

Sorcery is powerful, but it has limits.

It's evolved, and it's evolution should be detailed.

In the beginning, Sorcery was basically the manipulation of personal energy through conscious force of will. Key word here is Conscious. Each and every motive was controlled by the caster.

This made is slow, easily shattered and inept at complex things (Even modern Sorcery has trouble making convincing illusions, and shapeshifting is flat out impossible).

It can manipulate forces, energy and matter.

Later on, focusing devices in the form of incantations and motions were added.

The biggest innovation was the development of spell compression and spell.. holding, I guess.

Sorcerers learned how to give spells an ephemeral permanence, allowing them to be "Pre-Cast" and held onto until later. Semi-indefinite spells, which basically loop eternally, were also developed.

This gave way to Compressing spells.. into sub-routines and programs, basically.

Developing spells that can manage and activate other spells, or activate on certain triggers.

The next big development was energy storage, as stores of energy were always the main restrictions on how big or complex your array of spells could be.

In the future, you'll probably see the rise of more and more complex magical-programs. Expert Systems and maybe even A.I. The next big development will certainly be spells that are semi-independent, requiring only a few refills (Drone-like).

Then self-reproducing, energy harvesting magical lifeforms.. (This will be waaaay in the future).

The biggest issues with Draemar Sorcery is that it can't affect anything that you can't, say, hit or burn or force.

Things of ethereal spirit are beyond it.

It can't read people's minds, or change shape. Even healing is something that only a true master is capable healing. It couldn't tell you the future to save your life.

Even Teleporting is basically just telling a spell to move you somewhere. (It takes forever to identify each and every part of you, so that none of you gets left behind, but it works.)

Ok, so then these are the significant points about "Insignia":

1. There is a tattoo-like pattern somewhere on the user's body that signifies they can use the 'Insignia'
2. The pattern differs for each person, but will usually represent their  Insignia item. E.G. A stick could be a sword, a ribbon could be a whip, etc.
3. Each Insignia item has a power based on what their wielder is like. E.G. Fire-based power for a hot-headed person, debuffing for a person who has a dull personality, etc.

Those are the significant points. As well, when activated, the pattern will often give off bright light often in rainbowy colors. Calling forth the item for the first time is often exhausting and best done outside of combat. The location of the pattern also often dictates what its use is: Arms mean weapon (E.G. Sword, mace, etc), Body means Defense (Shield, Armor), Legs mean mobility/speed (Boots, shoes), and Head means utility (E.G. Hammers, needles, etc).

So then as an example, a pattern of thorns on the legs could mean caltrops are the item called forth. Are the Insignia good enough for your standards?

Whether it's at the forefront of your thoughts or not, we need to get everything settled rule wise to start the next age.  And we need your say to do so, since you're the GM. Unroll then we're sitting pretty till the tide rolls in.

We need our fearless leader to guide us.

There's tons of world building to do before we start the next age, you ken?

I don't see any further rule tweaks I want, if everyone else is happy with the rules I proposed.

Keep in mind, we're going to be having a 400 year jump.

What will happen to your gods and peoples in that time?

Think carefully, this affects what the setting will be like.

Any other world-building besides the obvious rebuilding from the destruction?

Yes, besides that. I already have some progression in mind as far as that, I just was wondering if there was anything else we should take into consideration.

I imagine more conspicuous intermixing of cultures for one (not racial mixing, but maybe non-Boquabians using Boquabian products, Boquabians using non-Boquabian products, Centaurs settling in lands other than Uburra-Namall's, demons and dragons and such making homes in Uburra-Namall's lands, etc).
