Yeah I agree that is not the right thing to do, we can not force people to participate, but if we use this system it will only serve to hinder those who are actually prepared to post.

experience is circumstantial at best, but the schedule could be changed I suppose. Instead we could probably just limit the number of posts available per day, but for the sake of simplicity the other section concerning fights and interactions should remain.

Sad to say, they're right.

Perhaps if we were more available to participate on even schedules (perhaps in the same time-zone and with similar life habits) then it could work. The way it works right now, though? Not workable. At least not in any convenient way...

The only way I think rotation is possible is if we all unanimously agree that we've grown tired of a certain arc, and bring it to a swift and decent (and likely temporary) end.

Like with Lords of Creation. If we all unanimously wanted right now, we could rotate from it to another RP. But it would require literally almost everybody's okay.

so far I've heard no opposition to the change concerning fights and interactions between gods so I will take that as a sign that it needs little to no work.

As for this, some sort of schedule needs to be implemented but perhaps it could be altered to a minutely basis instead of an hourly one.

I have an idea.

Let's build the rules from the ground up. Scrap all the old rules now.

Now we start planning.


Starting by stating what everyone wants from the rules.

I want a system that allows people to do things without my presence or judgement.  I want a system that creates interdependency and drives conflict. I want something where when a God drops a miracle, you notice. Where artifacts aren't a dime a dozen.

More over, I want something that will allow everyone to know what they can do.

Now, what about you guys?

Philote's Proposed Prototype rules: (Bare Minimum)

Types of Spirits:
Pantheon Leader – The old Over Spirits, most likely each member gets one.
Independent Spirit - Nearly identical to the Pantheon Leaders, except they do not create a Pantheon to serve along side them.
Major Aspects - The second tier of Spirits created by Pantheon Leaders.

Stats - We need simple way to determine amount of points to spend for either of the two tiers of Spirits.
Power
Precision
Perception
Presence

Artifacts: Each spirit has a Tool of Office which is an upper tier Artifact, then can have other second tier Artifacts that can be used one at a time with the Tool of Office.

Skills - Each Spirit gets Action Skills which would be used once per turn and Utility skills which would be passive.

Inherent Powers:
Create life
Avatar
Hero

Action: 12 total, 1 per day, 4 cost all save Miracle/Smite
Alter Nature – Terrain/Weather
Life – Mythos, Race, Servitor
Religious Order
Artifact
Gain Domain
