don't whine...it's not MY fault that your imagination gives MY imagination nightmares...

Re: IBR Arena Zero A: testing ground

jester_of_god
too bad, I had another dream last night that I'm thinking of making into an arena. It that involved, a giant tree/dimesion/creature, a labryinth/school/ghetto/shopping mall that defies the laws of physics such as half of a classrom beign covered three or four feet of water, vertical half not horizontal.

I was almost killed by a midget/elf/cancer after a gun was stolen from me by a monster I was trying to make an information deal with, and I was held at gun point by the monster and a smaller version of him. I had to steal my gun back and get rid of both of them before they called back up, then I had to find more bullets for the thing. I went through several of the stores, apparently guns are outlowed in the sector that contains the humans, until I somehow appeared inside of a school flooded with water, I recognised some of the students, but they looked like they had had their souls drained from them, or at least their IQl and I think that I accidentally taught an conscious multi dimensional tree how to create genetic altering bacteria/viruses...I woke up just after I had recovered more ammo from my ally and was about to storm the central hub...admittadly this is still not one of my weirdest dreams...

The dream I had before that involved me being part of a bounty hunting team that was fighting android serial killers/terrorists in a giant steel city...

I am sorry that my imagination gives your imagination nightmares...I've had a few dreams that weren't as messed up, but they may have simply been intermediary periods.

Well, it was just an exaggeration, but still, I'm not really one for demonic/weird/odd/hellish situations. What I think might be frightening, or nightmarish, you might not think so much of. Not easy to compete with something that competes with ITSELF...each of your ideas seems to be trying to outdo the last...

Nah, I don't think their competing with each other, I  pretty much hit the peak a while ago when I accidentally unleashed a demonic reality bending space hermit from the bottom of an ancient egyptian ruin/crystal cave in the bottom cellar of an abandoned house in the middle of a dense forest. This happened a long time after I thought up the Jester so no they aren't the same person...

eh whatever, just be glad I didn't add the cafeteria/acid chamber, and floating roman coleseum from the origional dream into this arena...

So without further adoo, since there are no more participants...

START

You begin at the top step, located several hundred feet above the island. The mosquitos will reach you in three seconds. Good luck

Name: Christopher Flanx
Species:human, but genetically engineered
Mindset:Can become enraged when attacked, but is usually calm and calculating. Is extremely intelligent, and has been self trained, and been put through near torture. Extremely cynicall sense of humor at times.
Appearance:He is a tall male, with bright green eyes, freckles, tanned skin, and jet black, slightly long, spiky hair. He has slight Japanese aspects, but also looks slightly German(he also has an undefinable accent). He is also extremely fit.
Abilities:
Brain Capacity:Has been genetically modified to remember more more acutely.

Extreme Abilities:He can go past regular human limits.i.e., he could run at extremely high speeds, lift extremely heavy weights, etc.

Elements: He can control water, earth, air, fire, plants, and other minor elements.

Extreme Senses: His senses of hearing, sight, taste, smell, and touch are extremely acute.

Concentrated Healing: He can heal wounds and numb, or inflict, pain  by concentrating.

Weaknesses:1.If he can't concentrate, he can't heal.2.Potent smells, tastes, sounds, sights, or objects can effect him.3.He can only create fire if there's oxygen, and can only control the other elements if they are there.

He also has a last resort. When being genetically altered, he had limitations put on his powers. When under extreme stress, these barriers are lifted, and he becomes infinitely more powerful.

Weapons & Objects:He can hide a very large amount of weapons on various parts of his person. He likes quick, lethal weapons, and is as good with a dagger as he is with a grenade launcher.

The closest thing I've had to those...

Once I dreamt that I was in junior high again, only there was some weird android girl there. Everything seemed normal for awhile, but then she got zapped through the electrical system during a storm.

She slowly started going insane and butchered people.. Eventually someone caught her on fire and everyone got away while she was fleeing toward a lake.

But... Once everyone was gone.. She came out of the water, turned her burned face to where I was watching and laughed..

Then I woke up.

In dreams I tend to shift from person to person and view to view. I spent parts of the first half of the dream as both myself and sometimes through the view of the android. The last part I was pretty much just disembodied.

That MIGHT not seem that scary, but It was fairly terrifying the first time around.

Especially since she morphed a bit after she went insane into some kind of horrific hag with cleavers.

Anyone want to try a labyrinth after that?

A 3-D maze with shifting floors, walls, and stairs. Designed by my judge Cicero, It has virtually invulnerable walls that block attempts to exit it without finding the single exit.

It would also had different rules..

A point system, with different achievements getting different amounts of points and special benefits.  Like first exiting, slaying the minotaur, finding the lost princess Ariadne...

I'd be basically the one who pokes the labyrinth. I.E The dude who tries to make sure it stays... interesting. :D

Once everyone leaves it, the points are tallied and the winners announced.

If anyone is interested, I could flesh it out more and we could try it.

Do we all start at the same spot? and is everyone ready to go?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

@Zale: love that labyrinth idea; haven't been in one of those in a while.

@Phi: is that question in reference to Jester's current plan or Zale's idea?

yes, you all start at the top step

Greenday@ You can choose him but bear this in mind the plants that make up the tunnel are almost invincible, and are immune to controlling techniques.

@Wulf: We still teaming up?

Well if we are starting

Blaine sprints to the end of the stairs and uses his orb of metal to stretch out a chain which he uses to swing down closer to the forest so that he can drop safely the rest of the way.

to make this simple I will refer to the CARLA by their numbers

47--Leader/Sniper
29--Demolition/Heavy Weapons Guy(Gal)
12--Spy/Scout
67--The Coward/The Medic
Square root of 400(intends to be called that instead of 20)--Computer Wiz/The Smart One(They are all equally "smart-academically"-but she likes to flaunt her intelligence more)

Equipment--Interchangeable

Smoke Grenades--Teargas based---CARLA are immune to own gas
Bullets---contains own DNA--deadly neurotoxin to other species--causes immune system to turn against itself
Knife--Standard Knife--sides contain bacteria that have anesthetic and coagulent effects--used by 67 as a healing tool and by others as a tool to cause bleeding
Headsets--Biologically designed---uses high grade long distance pheremone technology and cannot be jammed in a normal sense--also contains microphone
Gas Masks--powerful filtering mechanisms--can separate different elements from the air or water--such as oxygen
Goggles--Night/Thermal/Binocular/Microscopular/Electromagnetic Vision--but can only access on at a time
Special----Combining the headset with Goggles they can use each other as cameras--ie shared vision.
Wire--for use in setting up traps or for sewing wounds--very durable and elastic
Camosuit---doubling as a wetsuit this allows them to traverse any environment with some protection without losing speed--is black to blend in shadows--the fabric is biologically equivalent to kevlar
Various other tools are not listed---but do not have anything worth noting

The mosquitos have now arrived. several dozen of them split off from the main group to go after their first target. Blaine, who is dangling on a chain, I think attatched to the top stair, several hundred feet above the forest.

Bob looks at the impending swarm, and goes bug-eyed.

"Wuh-oh!" he says. But then, without missing a beat, he reaches into his hammerspace, and pulls out a donut-hole and a slingshot. With expert aim, the yellow weirdo flings the donut-hole at the closest mosquito (sucking it and its rider into the unknowns) and then takes off into the forests.

"Good thing I don't get sick like all the others!"

Square root of 400(intends to be called that instead of 20)--We should hide

47--Okay lets hide.

The dig trenches and cover themselves with mud to hide their scent and kindly wait for the mosquitoes to pass.

They then see a forest ahead.

They notice that the mosquitoes fall down and pass out when approaching the forest.

Slowly crawling still covered with mud to throw off scent they inch closer toward the forest.
