If Christopher moved the oxygen out of the area the sound waves wouldn't be able to vibrate through anything, and the snaps and crackles from a wood fire are from the moisture in the wood, his flames are burning pure oxygen, so they would only make a light "hhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssss".

yeah, it can't be JUST oxygen; he'll die (not to mention burst into flame from the pure oxygen)

true if it was pure oxygen it would cause the entire atmosphere to catch on fire...also soundwaves travel through all matter not just oxygen, unless you made it into a vacuum it wouldn't cancel the soundwaves.

Also as a pluss....the gas is also highly explosive

the point at this part would have been to excape into the tunnels that way you could at least have blocked their advance for a short period, once their at the surface though they'lll just keep coming, until your overwhelmed....In the dream the ones that were taken off by the creatures and mosquitos were taken to this giant black sky scraper/factory engulfed in flames by these giant armored Anteater/goblin/trolls...Thankfully it was a dream and I had gotten my usual dream abilities back after that point and I was able to save them by freezing time, jumping off of the floating platform and basicallly causing a small nuclear explosion that knocked out the trolls. Honestly though I probably should have incorporated the entire dream into this challenge instead of just the easy/terrifying part.

by the way shouldn't bob begin hallucinating right now, may I suggest him hallucinating a giant man eating rabbit? Eh, whatever. either way if Christopher continues to use the flames the gas is going to ignite into a giant fireball, effectively blinding everything except for the creatures, which are blind, then with the gas no longer accumulating the mosquitos will be able to approach in full swarm as well, and will overwhelm you...unless you take your luck with the tunnels

I meant he created a vacuum, and he always kept a little pocket of (toxin free) air around his mouth and nose, like a little bubble. He stopped creating flames, and instead tried to get away from the CARLA, to avoid being attacked.

I just meant the fire wasn't burning anything other than air, so no wood fire snaps or anything, that's what I meant.
