Blaine moves through forest hallucinating along the way and firing random bolts of H2O. Spotting CARLA an idea occurs to him. He creates a metal claw and sends it flying out from around a corner to steal a gas mask from what appeared to be the weakest member. Not wishing to fight with CARLA at the moment he sprints off trying to escape.

(I know Blaine isn't exactly being stealthy right now hallucinating and all but CARLA shouldn't of had visual confirmation of Blaine until his claw shot out, they would of only heard the blasts of H2O which would of sounded from several directions.)

your still standing on the top of the anthill structure. You haven't gotten in yet, the tunnels are only about three feet in diameter so you wouldn't be able to run in them. Also the tunnel network is almost zero vis, the creatures don't need light because their blind, the foliage is too thick to see through into the other tunnels inside of it.

Weakest one gets mask stolen

The other CARLA mark Blaine as a hostile target.

Square root of 400 is hallucinating that she is in an ice cream store when whap 47 knocks her out.

47: Squad prepare to engage hostiles. move move move.

The injured square root of 400 soon got a new regrown gas mask from the other CARLA

Just a question? does Blaine know hot to put on the gas mask---its biologically grown after all?

Also----Tear gas grenade comes in a cannister form---so it would be spewing rising gas.

I thought you said there was a forest and a separate tunnel system below it? i havent entered tunnels yet im still in hallucination area.

Um if its like a normal gas mask then he would be able to use it, unless i have to like fuse it with my body or something.

Also has CARLA fired at me?

okay let me try to use all of my gift of gabe to paint a  linguistic picture.

The surface of the "forest's" top is similiar in shape to that of an ant hill.  The leaves branches and vines interweve into each other to create a thick impenetrable surface, except for a few holes dug by the creatures themselves, which lead to a vast tunne network of interconnecting hallways carved from the very foliage itself. These tunnel's interconnect and twine together to form a deadly maze that penetrates through the entirety of the foliage. The walls of the tunnels are made up of  the same thick leaves and vines so that they provide almost zero visibility inside of the tunnel system, which may be for the best. The surface of the foliage which is bathed in light is subject to a chemical reaction, which causes it to produce a hallucinogenic and poisonous gas.

I hope that that is in depth enough.

47: Gotcha

As she had Bob in her sights, she fired.

The bullet streaked through the air then a nearby creature was downed.

Bob was surprised that a creature just suddenly died out of nowhere and walked closer leaving his guard down.

Suddenly 47 fired another shot heading straight toward Bob's neck.

darn it I new I forgot something....the creatures only exist inside of the tunnels, your relatively safe on the surface unless you here a lout noise or tremor like a gunshot. then they begin to swarm..............................

"OUCH!" Bob yelps, holding the spot on his neck, "That HURT! Hey is that CARLA? Hi CARLA! I'm gonna getcha!" The gangly doofus chuckles and pulls his trusty slingshot back out of hammerspace.

He pulls out a shiny-black bowling ball and aims expertly, launching it full force at the CARLAs.

Getting a feel for the heaviness of the bowling ball, he continues to launch about ten more in their direction, before aiming another at the mosquito nearest to Philote and ambling off for one of the passages into the forest tunnels.

The other CARLA drag 29 to get treatment

They silently move past the unsuspecting monsters

29 is currently out of commission undergoing treatment

Meanwhile----the neurotoxins in the bullet should be affecting Bob right about.... now.

I wonder if Bob's immune system is toon-like too?

If so I'm expecting some sort of zombie-like infestation versus some homage to Osmosis Jones going on in his blood stream.

Blaine is a ways off down the anthill with CARLA barely visible at the other end and bob in the middle.

Having seen the creatures swarm at the other end due to CARLA's gunfire, Blaine sends up his orb of light to emit a blinding light about the same time bob ducks into one of the tunnels.

Blaine navigates to follow after bob.

@wulf: if you can't defend against the poison i can recall the orb of light to help purge the impurities.

Only 5---it's a small squad not an army

As this is happening Christopher floats down near them and begins blasting them with fire (p.s., the little monsters aren't coming at him because he made no sound as he came down, and flames don't really make much noise). He creates so much flame that it eats up much of the oxygen in the surrounding area, and he uses his elemental powers to divert the rest away. The CARLAs begin to choke(I'm assuming they need to breathe), and are starting to be overcome by the little imp thingies (I thought they were coming at you, because you had been shooting guns, and you had been making some noise when they slapped square root of 400, when 29 got hit by the bowling ball,and when they were surprised by the creatures).

CARLA has gas mask that filters out the smoke.

Flames make a lot of noise when it is burning   just to let you know

CARLA are on the move since the oxygen is getting low.

They are moving back to regroup.

Meanwhile Bob is feeling suddenly ill. His face turns purple, then polka-dotted, then sickly green, and his eyes are bloodshot.

"Whoa...musta been somethin' I ate..." Bob belches., before reaching into hammerspace again and looking for something, "no, no, no, AHA! Perfect!"

He's pulled out a big, shiny red apple.

"An apple a day!" He exclaims, before, unhinging his freakish face and downing the thing in one gulp. His jaundiced greeny-yellow returns to normal yellow, and the poor sickly weirdo returns to normal, "Now to get to those tunnels!"

BTW, OOC, on the tunnels: after this one, and Zale's Labyrinth, I have a new idea in mind for the next battle (I'll detail after this is over)
