Is the energy biological in origin?
Can the power only be used to cause damage?
Did the victims have to be seen to be killed by this power?
Is there a requirement as to whom you can use this power on?
Or can you use this on anyone (except yourself) whenever and wherever you want to?

Ok ok.  This one is almost the power WHD wants us to find!

This power isn't possesed.
It's more then a year old.
It was created by someone who left the site.  
It can only affect living things.  
Intended for killing.
It doesn't involve objects to do the kill.
It uses some kind of energy (biological energy).
It's not part of a series.
There's visible damage both on the outside and inside.
They all died the same way, but not in a natural way.
It depends on the owner's will, so it's partly psionic.  
The description doesn't say the victim needs to be in the same room.
If the owner uses it on himself then his new form can be used for stealth.

Ok, sure, there's no hand gesture.
But one can imagine the power user needs to pick his nose to activate it.

With stealth I mean that they can't see/hear you using the power till it's too late (victim dead, you have already walked away)
