Well, it depends on how the story/setting would go.
If AI are deliberately made through a reliable process, then the results would be something people
want. I don't think they would want AI with flaws.
Would you rather have a cheerful, nice and compliant AI or a depressing, argumentative and stubborn one?
Which does lend itself to frightening moral questions and fridge horror.
If AIs just happen somehow, then yes they would have flaws. They would likely have personalities that are similar to humans because they just
happen.
