Uh what about your character?
RE do on update: Okay so the whole over complicated mess I thought of throw that away and make it simple I propose each faction to have a team who can and will eliminate traitors and what not. How ever I will in fact have the random people who did try to bond to sorcerium cores and failed become those magic eating monster things. That would make more sense from what I have thought PS I originally had to switch the characters Erinth in the Oasis and Reginald in the bunker. I got the mixed up a bit that moment and time so will switch em. Hehehehehe my bad.

A group that eliminates traitors? Ok, I'll name them the 'Crescent Fangs,' the ones that move around swiftly and silently to eliminate those who betray the Order and are composed solely of elite warriors chosen personally by Kokoro no Soro Kara.

Does anything about his abilities or back story conflict with the setting?

It would have to be somewhere near the fusion age to even stand a chance against magic. Just prune it of the things you don't want. No space travel, advanced AI, or mechs that are to big.

yup said that about mechs a while ago on the thread. Also if you want an average size reference I can't be exact, but if you look up V.S. suits in lost planet around that size within mechs

If your taking inspiration from Lost Planet for the mechs, why not take it a bit further and include things like the Big Train cannon and that mobile laser fortress from 2. Heck, include the harmonizer.
In fact, you could include something not unlike T-Eng or Tiberium that powers all this stuff. Heck, make it something the mages value as well, and we have a resource war on our hand.

Um that seems a bit too far I just mention it cause I think its the perfect size of mechs in mind. Though coming up with a resource all sides could use will be interesting. Though we should put more thought into it. As of currently I am trying to come up with unique gear for the neutral side.

Interesting.... Is this the guy from your previous character's background story? The guy shot in the chest but seen looking 100% healthy in the all-out retreat?

Yes, though that has nothing to do with his magic. I was going to try something for this, but I keep getting interrupted while writing it, so I'll just summarize.
The Alexandra family is old and prestigious, having been advisers to the rulers of the Golden City for generations. They accomplish this through their family unique magical technique of Prophesy. Unfortunately, their magic doesn't actually allow them to see into the future. Indeed, the progenitor of the Alexandra clan was probably a hack-fraud charlatan, but over the generations the family had bought into the lie just as eagerly as those they advised. What the magic is actually capable of is "overclocking" the 5 senses and brain. Doing this, one can gleam all sorts of information. Until the birth of Artemis, they're was no error so great that it could not be swept under the rug with trick wordplay or excused with a lack of experience with the magic on the part of the prophet. Before the child's birth David Alexandra, patriarch of the clan and master "Prophet" bragged to everyone who would listen about his coming baby daughter. You can imagine his feelings when the midwife came and gave him the joyous news that he had a healthy son. This would destroy not only his credibility, but that of the entire Alexandra family. For the first 12 years of his life Artemis was raised as the daughter of the Alexandra family. He was kept in the house, away from all other children his age to avoid him asking uncomfortable questions. This time was spent teaching him the family spells. Unfortunately for David, he had a knack for it and it soon became apparent to young Artemis that something wasn't quite right. Being faced with his fathers mistake and the lengths he would go to cover it up Artemis, always a spirited and willful child, confronted his family about it, proceeded to call them hack-fraud charlatans, and ran away that night. After that he wondered the streets of the golden city. It's amazing how well one can survive when you can read people like a book. He made his living doing odd jobs/con games until he was 18, at which point he joined the army to see the world. Here he refined his magic further, adding his nervous system into the mix to give himself reflexes quick enough to react to all the information he was taking in. This effectively allowed him to dodge bullets because he could see where the gun was pointed. After a five year stint in the army, he was honorably discharged and settled in Oakleaf, joining the explorers guild "Radiant Dawn."

Indeed.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

That'll be an interesting character, though it would be nice for this RP in my opinion if all of the PC's don't have connections to powerful NPC's until later on because it's somewhat unfair to have connections early on.

Oh no, I assure you they have no connection. Artemis hates the man, and he's pretty much been replaced with a street urchin look alike.
