Page 24 of Pabaras's Exhaustive Guide to Registered Magicians Name: The Rahmen Coven Age: Individual members of the cult vary in age; The Coven itself dates back to the early history of the Magic-Tech war. City: Oakleaf is the primary base of the Coven, though it's members are spread across the cities. Hair Color/Style: All members of the Rahmen Coven have shaven heads, decorated with tattoos. Eye Color: Black. Skin Color: Tan. Clothing: Light weight robes and cloaks, usually grey. Armored Coven members usually wear light weight mail, if possible. Anything Else Unique About Appearance: All members of the Rahmen Coven are identical in appearance. Slim, utterly androgynous, dark eyes, shaven heads. It's impossible to tell one from another. Magic Style: Individually, each member of the Coven is very weak. It is only when several of them pool their strength that they reach the levels of a normal mage. However, considering their large numbers, they can outgun even potent magicians if many of them join forces. As a group, they specialize in mental magic. Quick communcations, mind-melds, memory editing.. Weapon: The official weapon of the Coven is the longsword. Personality: All members of the Rhanmen Coven display the same personality traits and outlook. Any one of them is interchangeable with the other. Rhanmen Coven members are all quiet, industrious, curious and quite secretive. Skills Other Than Magic: Skilled at Research and information gathering. There's very little the Coven is not aware of, due to their habit of mind-melding rituals, what one knows, all know. Short Backstory: Covens have long been a tool of weak magicians to pool their individual power into something greater. However, few of these were capable of growing to large sizes. People were too different from one and other. The Rahmen Coven sought to remedy this by reducing those differences. The members spent many days hammering out the template they would follow. How they would look, the personality they would possess. Once the template was decided, all members underwent the long process of magical conversion and memory editing. The end result was what we have now, a mass of people all pressed into the same mold. Despite the loss of individuality that the Coven required, it proved to be popular among weak magicians of a certain mindset. Some felt it would enable them to finally gain power. Others sought it as a way to immortalize themselves, for the coven could easily survive the loss of a few members.

Only one city but there are more parts to it I'm still working on the certain areas of the one city, but for now the neutral side is a behind than the magic and tech side. So hold up till I post it. Kinda busy with moving to a new home on my end.

The City of Fifty-Two (Neutral city) Here the boundary between magic and science is hard to find.
Note: these are areas within the city The Scrapyard -Tons of reusable equipment from the other factions this area is responsible for repurposing everything to be usable for people skilled with magic or technology. Its a place for people who like to Create new things Leader: Leonard Kane, A.k.a. The Ace of Hearts - Once a devotee to the Order of magi this young man is now the children of eden's most valued Gear head. Doing all kinds of experiments to mix magic with the science of technology. As of lately there was a rumor he was one of the Halves among the Order. (Wouldn't you like to find out! huh?) Lady Luck Casino - Entertainment for the people of the city and wandering travelers. This place is a great for city operatives to learn infiltration and espionage tactics. To gain information among the two other factions Leader: Annabell Illuvian (changed her last name) A.k.a The Ace of Diamonds - A renowned operative with psyche abilities among the Empire of Steel, however she is now one of the most hated among the empire for her betrayal. With her Cybernetic arm augmented with a magical core her attacks can do a lot more than cut and apply pressure. The Depths - An underground bunker dedicated for training soldiers in the mixed weaponry from the magic and Science factions. The training only allows two weapons to be carried. One magical and one tech weapon so they aren't too burdened but they are more flexible within using it. Leader: Erinth Stern A.k.a The Ace of Clubs - A Magister of the Order of Magi is now a teacher for the recruits of the children of eden. One of the few people who could fight the empire of steel's Sorcerium users. Before she taught many how to be able to fight against them. After many encounters with the Halves she has made lessons to fight against them as well. Eden's Oasis- A tranquil place within the city. Part of the city itself was built around it. The properties of the oasis assist with physical ailments due to abandoning the other factions. Within the area there have been many successful procedures to help those that are either Halves or Sorcerium users. Leader: Reginald Stern A.k.a The Ace of Spades - The most dangerous sorcerium user now one of the leaders of the children of eden. He currently directs sorcerium users and halves that have abandoned their respected faction. Teaching them new things on teamwork. Update: I had to think of something as a downfall for Sorcerium users and Halves if they decided to abandon their faction. Within a few days they will start losing control of their power. For Halves its obvious without a spiritual balance with them they will lose control to their other half, and depending on their other half that can be very dangerous. For Sorcerium users if they don't over come it the core implanted within them will start to eat away at them until it swallows them completely (note: it isnt too late till they are completely swallowed). After that has occured they will have turn into abominations made of sorcerium and they hunt and feast on anything with magical properties even people. They aren't too hard to kill after transformation, but the longer the live and eat the more dangerous they become.

And the logic behind them falling apart?

Sorry I'm confused now? of what you said. Oh wait if its the those sorcerium users and the Halves it means without the support from the side that develops it that will happen and what not. Its a situation that only happens when a Sorcerium user decide to abandon the empire of steel. The same could be said with the halves.
Its kinda like a failsafe if the side was betrayed. Once they Sorcerium users gain those abilities they are often checked upon to see if they are stable. For Halves deciding to betray the Order of magi is a big change within their life and causes internal doubts of the soul and mind. If they aren't absolute in their resolve the other half will take over.

The Halves and Sorcerium users collapsing.

Made an edit :P
Forgot to mention that the Sorcerium users were never fully merged with the core that gives them their abilities. The process of them falling apart is the core try to fully become apart of the user.

So what do the Neutrals get?

Hmm for specials you mean well they don't have the resources currently to have their own special soldier. Though that depends on what you see as special. The more adept members within the group are starting to mix their own weaponry or skills with the component they don't have. So magic being adapted to science and the other way around and what not.

I should mention any sorcerium user or half that joins the children of eden will have to overcome that fail safe. Seeing as Reginald and Leonard were able to do it I don't see why others can't.

So they can't rebel unless the overcome some sort of mind control.

:T I should get someone else to explain this. It just seems like you guys are perceiving what I say as nonsense. Which I get more often than usual apparently

It's just those seem to be arbitrary rules with no purpose than to prevent easy rebelling.

Name: Dr. Roderick Stein
Age: 47 City: The City of Fifty-Two Hair Color/Style: Brown, slightly greying. Beard. Eye Color: Green Skin Color: Caucasian Clothing: Long white doctors coat, glasses, rubber gloves. Anything Else Unique About Appearance: Has six arms. Weapon: N/A Personality: Arrogant about his skills as a surgeon, but with good reason. Dedication to saving life. Workaholic. Alternate Skills: Redundant internal organs. Strength, endurance, and dexterity rival that of pre-war Olympic athletes. Make use of focused healing magic to augment his surgical skills. Backstory: Was I ever really a Doctor, before? Back at the Medical Ward, I thought so. But then came the September offensive. The Magic users breached farther into out lines than ever before. I saw the footage on the news. I saw people, men, women and children exploding in the streets, on fire, twitching as those filthy Luddites pumped ten thousand volts through their bodies. I was young then, and like all young men with fire burning in their blood I quit my internship at Crytec Regional and signed up to push them back to that gaudy city of theirs. I won't describe the horror I saw on the front lines. That would take longer then I've been alive, and I'd just as soon not dig up those memories. I will, however, describe my revelation. It was at the end of the campaign when I saw the kid. I say "kid" now, but at the time he couldn't have been much older than me. I don't know what made him so memorable. Maybe it was the fencing foil he used as a weapon. It might of been the way he always seemed to be where out bullets weren't , dancing between them in some sort of grim flamenco. Maybe it was the look of surprise on his face when I popped up out of cover like a prairie dog and put three in his chest. Whatever the reason, I remembered him. Some sort of explosion, like the wrath of an angry god, fell on our position, I think to cover their retreat. It knocked me for a loop, and the last thing I remember before passing out is Mr. Flamenco being dragged away by a few of his buddies. I woke up in a army hospital, barely alive. They're playing this report on the television, showing the mages in full retreat. I smiled at that, until I saw someone I recognized. It was Flamenco, I'm sure of it. It had to be him. Fully healed, alive and well, back from the very brink of death. I was in that hospital for a month and a half but him, who if anything had been in worse shape than me, was up in a day. Why, it was like... Magic was the key. It was the only difference between our states. When I was discharged I resumed my studies, but with some new ones on the side. Unfortunately, use of magic was resoundingly forbidden within the city. I was found out. I was banished. I wandered the wastes, until I came here. I found people that would teach me. I began to learn. It turns out, healing magic is woefully inefficient. You have to pump energy through the whole of the body to heal any internal damage, and it uses up a startling amount of "mana" as a result of this. But when combined with proper medical procedures the amount of energy consumed becomes minor. It opens so many doors: with magic, the body becomes clay in the hands of a skilled sculptor. I can not only use my skills to heal, but to modify. People bring to me their sick and their broken, and they walk out my door not only healed but better than they were before. To think, I once thought the only Luddites were the mages. Codex city is just as bad. If my job is to save and improve lives, is it not my moral obligation to make use of all the tools at my disposal to do so? With no end to this idiotic conflict in sight, I'll just have to wait here until they destroy one another. I'll be along afterwards, to give what help I can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thoughts? Changes I should make? Anything that conflicts with the setting? Thinking of him as a small clinic doctor who does modifications and plastic surgery to afford decent medical supplies, and give out free care to those that need it but can't afford it.
