Elemental Planes Role Play Part 2

[Philote]

"Everyone out, you're coming with us!" The soldiers shouted.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Whats going on? Where are you taking us?" I demand.

[Philote]

"No time, you have to leave now!" The guard rushes forward and roughly grabs Marv's arm, and tries to pull him out of the room.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

I follow, but hesitantly at first. I have no idea what is happening and the soldiers' desperate tones frightened me.

[Philote]

The soldiers either lead out, or forcibly take out the group from the room and begin leading them up through base. More Soldiers fall in behind the group, and all seem to be in a rush to lead the group away.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Wha-what the heck is going on?"

[Philote]

"This base is unsafe for you now, we have to get you out" a soldier replied behind Wulf. "Just keep moving forward, we can't waist any time here" another shouted.

After traveling through the base, the group finally exits out onto a landing pad in the outside world, and they can see that the world is devastated.

The military base is the only building left standing, and signs of a battle mark the land in every direction that is not blocked from the group's sight by the dust filled air.

[FrozenDarkFlame]

We can stand and fight. I'm not leaving!!

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"I repeat...what the frack is going on here???"

[FrozenDarkFlame]

They're basically kicking us out in a nice way. The way I'm seeing it, they are either A: keeping us safe, or B: they don't think we can handle a little chaos.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

I look around not understanding what happened here, "Comment? Comment est-ce que a-t-il ocurré? (How? How did this happen?)"

[Philote]

"Or we have a more important task than the protection of this land" the commander replied as he exited out of the base behind the group.

"The destruction you see before you is the result of a Colossus breaking into our world. We have brought you back just fight another battle."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"My god....this is terrible...."

[Philote]

"It truly is. The elementals are nearly infinite in number, but we can not simply roll over and die. We must continue fighting until the source of this nightmare is extinguished."

Some of the guards begin prepping the last of the large helicopters on the landing pad. "Follow me soldiers, our fight lies elsewhere" The commander instructs.

[FrozenDarkFlame]

What can we do?

[Philote]

"We are going to make a move on the colossus itself and try to bypass its supporting elementals " the Commander instructs as the group moves onto the helicopter "It has shielded itself inside a larger storm so we will be unable to fly directly to it."

The helicopter takes off and the group passes over a larger beast mostly hidden by the dust and debris in the air burrowing out of the ground. The Commander sighs  "We had not planned to depart so early with only the few of us, but this base has become unsafe as so many before it have."

"While we fly, I'll take the moment to fill you in on any questions you may have since our morning meeting was interrupted. We won't have much time for conversation once we land."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Okay, how about this one." I speak up, "Why the heck are we fighting them? Or maybe, more situation-appropriate, what do they want with us right now?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Who cares? At least we get to smash stuff!"

[Philote]

"Nobody knows who broke the pact anymore. They are most likely dead now anyways after the destruction the world has faced." The Commander instructs.

"Once it was broken, the elementals attacked and our only choice was to either fight back or be exterminated. That is why you were given your elemental hearts and set on your mission. Once the elementals were set in motion, there was nothing we could do to change their mind."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Th-that's terrible!" I say in dismay, "You say they can't be assuaged? Well, do they have a leader we can take out? Or what about escaping them? Is that possible?"
