Elemental Planes Role Play Part 2

[Marvelous Miscreant]

I am unable to hear Bug's snide remark as I plummet towards the Colossus.

[Philote]

The falling force of the hammer and the rising force of the colossus meet. The combined force breaks through the colossus' skull, and the kinetic stone explodes outward. The explosion expands into the portal that results from each colossus' death and each of the teams members falls through into the light.

The group lands on a hard carpeted floor, at a lower velocity than they were falling before. The avian elementals were nowhere to be seen but the artifact lied safely in Marv's pocket. A voice speaks to the disoriented group as they try to take in their new surroundings.

"Welcome home Soldiers."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Wha-huh? W-Where am I?" I mumble as my brain tries to make sense of the sudden change in location.

[FrozenDarkFlame]

Where am I?

[FrozenDarkFlame]

This is not exactly my home.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Oh, my...um, what's going on here?"

[Philote]

A hand reaches out to Marv to help him up. "You're in the last place you expected to be. Why don't you all pick yourself up and we can begin having the others examine you."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

I accept the help in standing up before stammering "E-Examine us?"

[Philote]

"Of course, you've been through a lot since you were last on Earth."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Earth, the word echoed around in my head for sometime before it truly clicked. I was home. Home at last.

"We're finally back..."

[Philote]

The man watches your face as the realization sinks in, and smiles back knowingly.

"The medics will examine you, we will get a true meal in you and send you off for a good nights rest. In the morning we will have our branches meeting. You may not recognize me, I was promoted while you were on duty. I am commander Lote."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"Yeah, yeah, nice to meetcha, Lotey, I'm starved!" I rush off to get something decent in my stomach.

[Philote]

The medics looks over everybody, taking care of wounds and checking nutrient requirements. High quality clothes are issued to everyone. A feast is laid out, any food that the group asks for is brought out.

As the group is taken care of, the Talos unit is led away.  The group is in what they can guess to be a military compound. Even though the group is being taken care of, guards block access to the outside world and to several sections of the building.

I stuff my face with every kind of food I can grab. It had been so long since I'd had a proper meal.

[FrozenDarkFlame]

So this is Earth? Nice place you guys got here.

[Philote]

"Anything you ask for will be made available, we only ask that you do not try to leave this building for any reason. Everything will be explained in the morning."

[FrozenDarkFlame]

Is there a place for repairing our weapons and armor? I think we also need to catch up on our sleep.

[Philote]

"Yes of course, we will replace what we can with improved models, but the other items we will gladly repair for you. It seems everybody has finished their meal, so I'll lead you all to your rooms for the night. I suggest you all get some sleep, we will be waking you up early for the meeting tomorrow."

Commander Lote and several guards escorts the group to their sleeping chambers. A large room filled with several beds. Once the group is inside, the Commander and guards leave, shutting them in.

A couple hours pass as the group lies in their beds.

[Philote]

Suddenly sirens fill the air and a flashing light casts a red glow across the room. The group jumps up, alerted by the change. Within seconds something begins beating on the door and a pair of armed soldiers break in after the door falls.

"What the hell?" I cry out before scrambling to my feet.
