"Curses! My awesomeness, FOILED AGAIN by the laws of comic karma!!!"  I say as I flail downward, "As I learn to stay aloft, others learn the perfect way to keep me down! When I learn how to fly proper, the two of you are SO not going to be bumming rides off me!"

I drop. Though slowed by the powers of electromagnetic repulsion, I drop, and with me, Neo and GD.

As I fall its all I can do to raise the artifact and look through it in hope it may reveal a viable option other than falling to my death.

For a moment you spin through the air, but finally your vision stabilizes enough to make out details through the artifact.

You can see the paths the avian elementals will take. Lines of power make a complex network below you. You know how to use your power to intercept one of the paths and land on one of the birds.

I angle myself for one of the paths, slow my decent by spreading my arms and hope Ihaven't miscalculated as I fall towards on of the avian elementals

Marv lands onto a large hawk like bird with silver feathers which he holds onto with a death grip. The elemental screeches and looks at Marv with an eye that streams electricity, but seems unable to do anything about its new passenger. Now all Marv had to do was direct the bird and get his companions safely onto their own mounts.

Pulling the feathers on the bird's back I manage to steer it around to fly towards the others who are fighting against gravity.

"Guys, Grab a hold of a bird! They're flying below!"

Nichila uses his power to push himself through the air,  following Marv's instructions to intercept an elemental of his own. Wish follows close behind and lands on Ninchila's newly tamed mount carrying Talos with him.

Below, the distant cloud layer seems to churn with lighting, bulging up towards the group. By the time the clouds reach a constant glow, the Colossus bursts out, flapping its wings to charge at the still falling team.

Guiding my steed above the colossus, I begin to rain down sharp stones and abrasive sand.

Getting used to my new-found capability of flight, I hurl volley after volley at the colossus, hoping to short out his energy stores.

I draw as much cold air from the breeze as possible and begin to create crystals the size of baseballs, getting ready to machine-gun them at the unwanted monster.

I Leap of my airborne steed and plummet towards the Colossus. In mid flight, I begin to collect earth and sand around myself. I form a large hammer with my fist, it's outside coated in explosive kinetic stone.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

I aim for the colossus.
