[Celadon's Penultimate]

The Colossus shrieks, and flaps its wings in disdain.

The clouds grow yet darker, and thunder rumbles yet again.

The Colossus gets up high as it can go, and then begins to divebomb downward, shifting its element into light. As a Light Colossus, it cannot control what happens next, but all the same, every few seconds, lightning flashes in the distance.

Anything caught in their way, will be transported to a random location, on a random cloud field.

Fortunately, it's only a few every few minutes. If one finds a good cloud to hide behind, one should be safe.

At least from the lightning.

The Energy Colossus is still swooping down trying to get in the occasional blast, shock or beam of energy.

I launch dozens of stones into the air at the Colossus.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I shoot lightning at the Colossus while it is in light form.

Perhaps I can manage an electromagnetic pulse to short it out. But until then, I'll have to settle for electrical attacks.

The Colossus circles like a vulture, avoiding our hits as best it can. A few stones and a few fireballs hit it, and it goes a bit higher up, preparing to dive.

"you ready for a sock in the arm? Because I'm gonna freeze it off!!"

The Energy Colossus shifts to Lightning Form just as it gets a few meters away. With deadly control, it summons a lightning bolt from above to strike us.

And before we get to react, the Energy Colossus combines its own power with the lightning bolt, so that we are all teleported to the lower field.

I pick myself up and look around for the group who'd found me.

"Pas à nouveau (Not again)."

I start to head towards the colossus yet again.

The group, newly joined with the Darkness manipulator, Noire, found themselves standing on a steel surface. When the clouds around them settled, and the group had a chance to take in their surroundings, they found that the metal below them was no ordinary piece of the scenery, but a metallic bone from the remains of a great elemental. The steel spine was spread out around the landscape, dipping below the clouds and rising above. Wulf can sense static traveling from one direction down the spine.

(You're on the third and lowest section of the cloud layers now, so remember: The clouds on this level are not as thick and act as quick sand, though you can walk through them if you keep moving. At best it would be like walking in a swamp.)

The first thing I notice is the lack of solidity of the ground. To fix this I collect a mass of sand below me to stand on.

"I'M SINKING! SAVE ME ROCK HEAD!" I jump-tackle Marv.

"GAH! Damn it man! You're gonna drag us both down."

The sand spreads out to catch us both.
