 If you don't mind.

I know this first part may feel a bit draggy, but the load's not getting any lighter if I have to drag it myself.

It's not perfect, but I guess this will do.

I've picked my fellow story collaborators rightly, I think.

This leaves Marv to give the final word, and then we should be off to see The Wizard.

Oh.

Right.

I forget. I tend to take these sorts of obligations to seriously, which causes me distress when I procrastinate.

*sigh* I was hoping to avoid that.

Really, I want you guys to be happy about this, and it doesn't really work out great unless it's coming from a happy, adventurous and genuinely mischievous place in your mind and heart.

Just think. Soon, we'll be making our way as somewhat reluctant superheroes, in a world that, by most logical assumptions, should be full of heroic superhumans ready and raring to go.

You just bring your own flavor along. You don't have to carry the story, by any stretch. We're all here to help relieve each other of a burden, but also to strengthen and inspire one another, so we can carry gradually more.

As time progresses, I hope it becomes easier and more free-flowing for you to enjoy this. Really. I don't want to force anybody.

 Of course, no pressure!

And I don't mean that sarcastically. You literally don't have to say very much other than a confirmation, and then onward we go.

How long would it take to get to Gorak's place by car from San Diego?

It's a few hours. Five (5) hours, six (6) minutes to be precise, if you go by Google Maps.

But then, that's assuming the car has a safe drive, no breakdowns, no bandit raids, no blockades, no detours, etc.

few things.

Is it too late to join up?

If it isn't what do I need to know about the story?

What are the guild lines for making a character this time, same as last time?

Yes. I'm going to try very well to remember that this is post-apocalyptic times, so there will be SOME delay, whether it's by you guys sleeping, or taking the bus, or finding a car, or whatever.

Torres is a teleporter, but I don't want to just poof you guys to Arizona. You should have some fun along the way. I want to give you guys as many plausible opportunities to exercise your wits, and flex your abilities, as possible.

I'm just trying to figure out when Wayne gets there so as not to screw with the timeline, and figured it would be convenient if both parties arrived roughly at the same time.

It is not too late to join up. I actually hoped you would, though I had a character in mind for you to play, and you may or may not like him (we can discuss that, if you want).

Basically, everything you need to know about the story, you will be given in the very first post. An info dump was simply the only way I could cover as many bases as possible.

1) This all takes place 50 years after the "December 21, 2012" Australis Event, in which a comet's arrival on Earth throws society into chaos. Crime goes up, society's fragile underpinnings go down, and Overlords and Warlords arise. After 50 years, things are just recently (like, maybe within the last 20 years) starting to not be quite as crappy, as far as living conditions and amenities.

2) Our heroes are called to action by rumors of work, fast money and adventure, and (though it seems irrelevant to the majority of them, at first), the myth of the Evolutionist's Stone, an object believe to bestow superhuman abilities and enhance them to unimaginable levels.

Not much else besides that is immediately important, besides that.

As for making a characters, I was wondering, what do you think of playing Flores? I think you could play him well. Of course, the option is open to you, but do keep that character in mind, please. And yes, character formatting is basically the same as the first go-around. Just reworking old characters and bringing in new ones for the current incarnation.

Entirely up to your discretion. Wayne is you, GV.

You can say he slept in at a hotel or something, stowed away on an Overlord transport bus, hijacked a car, slinked past with his ability, whichever you think best fits the plausibility of the two sides meeting up at roughly the same time.

I trust your judgment.

Nah, he's driving up there in his car to apply for Gorak's fake job as prelude to what can only be called a rampage. Gonna kill him, his entire family, burn his house to the ground, but not before getting the names of the other Overlords who thought it was such a fantastic idea to lure in professional killers with bogus job offers only to bump them off.

From his description it sounds like he's a super strong ass hole and the fact that you considered me the best choice to play him for the sake of the rp calls into question exactly what you think my moral standing concerning Rp's is.

But yeah I'm okay with playing him if you want me to, usually I like the more magic style skills like tk tp or any mancy instead of super strength, speed, agility though.

Wulf gave me a grumpy black woman
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
