>Try to peak in.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
Peak in! Right, so all you have to do is finagle this nob.
Hm? Hmmmm? Well, you don't have hands. That's unusual. You wonder if you could...just maybe....sort of.... You pass thorough the door into the room beyond. It appears to be a large common area. Five people are in this room, all dressed in red. Two girls lounge about on red couches, one wearing a dress that sparkles in the light with her every move, the other in some sort of belly-dancing getup. The Sparkly one speaks up, in the same high pitched voice. "Oh, good luck trying to get her to do anything. She's useless." She says to a boy sitting at the table in the middle of the room. They seem to be dress normally, except for the red headphones one of them is wearing. "And she's hardly in keeping with our aesthetic." Suddenly, a voice comes from behind you. "I would think that having a theme would only make it easier for the enemy to kill you. Makes you....Predictable." You swing around to see the owner of the voice. She ratty. Not in the sense that she is uncouth and disorganized, but that she's mousy but bigger. short brown hair hangs down on the sides of her head. You had to have passed right through her. Suddenly, the other boy at the table, the one with the sing song voice, laughs. "Nadine, come on, there are only two. We could beat any blue that comes here. Not that they ever would mind you. The only blue I've seen for months is the one that came out of the box." >SUGGESTION?

You begin snooping around the room while they continue their conversation. There really isn't much to the room. The Table, the couches, an tack bored that looks to have been in use once, but is now clear of everything.
The Girl in the sparkly dress is talking again, "Exactly Nadine, you should have beaned her the moment she came out of the chest." The Short haired girl, Nadine, scowls and responds, "I don't hit people while they're down, especially not people who don't even know whats going on. It's not right." You see a rope ladder leading up to an open hatch in the ceiling. Some sort of light is on up there and with it you can barley make out large leaves. Lyrical boy is speaking again. "Oh well, it's not as though this is a bad thing, having one all of our own." ""What do you mean?" Asks the one in the headphones. "Think about it, if we have her, even if Jessica finds and kills the last two blues, we don't have to leave this place. I've got to admit, I like this better than whatever New World shes got planned." "But the Seer-" "Cassandra would never sell us out." he reassures the other boy. Nadine scoffs in anger and opens the door behind her. "Hey, where are you going?" Asks the dancer. "To check up on her. She's better conversation than you." She says, closing the door behind her. You can hear her descending the stairs, toward the door guarded by the trumpets. The others all share a look. Finally, the shiny one speaks up. "You know, that girl is really cramping our style." >SUGGESTION?

You leave the room behind and follow Nadine back through the dark stairway. The girl waives the trumped guards aside and goes through the door at the bottom of the stairs. You follow.
Within appears to be a sort of glade. Not a big one, but enough to hold a little trickle of water, some grass, and a large stump in the middle of the room. On the stump, hands bound, is a scared looking girl in a blue dress. Her head whips up when she hears the door open, but when she see's Nadine, though she doesn't exactly relax, she seems less afraid. "Hey." she says, her voice echoing off the walls. "Here to train again?" "No, it's just quite here." Suddenly, you get an idea. You move over to the scared girl and say, right next to her ear- "Where Am I?" The girl asks, before looking confused. Nadine chuckles, "Forget already? Canopy Masada, red base." >SUGGESTION?

Emboldened, you begin speaking quickly, trying to get the girl to hear you. In stead, she only starts looking more uncomfortable, before gripping her head and screaming.
"What's wrong? Hey!" says Nadine, moving very quickly to the girls side. "There's something here! Something's trying to get into my head." She says, looking fearfully around the room. Nadine looks around to, like some sort of tiger ready to pounce. Your presence has been detected. You will no longer be able to influence any character who has detected your presence. Nadine stands up, and walks to the door. The Girl on the stump panics. "Hey, you're not just going to leave me alone in here, are you?" Nadine turns around. "I'm just going to have a look around, that's all. There might be...Something." He eyes are those of a starving castaway who's just been told of a magnificent feast being held on the other side of the island. This could be something to break up the monotony. "You'll come back, though, right?" Nadine thinks for a while, staring at the ground. "Yeah, I'll be back." The girl on the stump, for the first time, lets a smile creep onto her face. Nadine nods to her, opens the door, and makes her way up the stairs. The girl is left in the dark, flinching at shadows. >END INTERMISSION

You awaken to the sounds of Peter quite literally rocking the boat.
"Come on, come on, rise and shine Mr. Aardvark. We've got work to do, y'know?" You wake up groggy. Outside first light is starting to stream through the cave entrance. You pull yourself out of bed and head outside where Armand and Amanda are waiting, both looking slightly tired. Evidently, they weren't used to getting up this early. Armand tosses you a fruit. "Alright," he says, "We need to regroup at any time, we head for that temple where we found Peter. It's the only place we all know." "What about the Creeps?" You ask. "Just don't go inside. You got the map?" "You hold up the wrist computer and nod to him. "Good. Now, we know the way to the base, but the Seer, if shes awake, will see you the moment you leave my field. If you don't think you can beat whatever they send at you, run away. You sure you want to do it like this?" You and Peter both nod. He sighs, but gives you an almost nostalgic look. "Right, lets move out." You both set out in opposite directions, but suddenly you here Amanda call. You both stop, and turn around. "Newbies, don't try anything heroic. I don't want you getting popped out there!" she calls from the tree line. You both give a thumbs up. She smiles, just a little, and disappears into the trees with Armand. >ARMAND >AMANDA >ARTHUR >PETER

You watch the two of them disappear into the foliage, then take a look at your map. Peter steps up, peering over your shoulder. you can see a dot indicating where you are, and another a good distance away labeled "Valley Ruins." About halfway between you and the dot is a yellow line that you guess is the road.
"So, stealthy or speedy?" Peter asks.

"Better move fast," you say, "After all, they can see us."
"I like the way you think boss. Lets get to it." The two of you take off into the jungle, you in the lead and glancing at the map every so often. Peter seems slightly annoyed at having to stay at your pace, but even more at the jungle. "No proper straightaways, you can't get up to a good clip. There's all this stuff in the way." he says as the two of you crash through the undergrowth, heedless of whoever may be listening. Finally, you can see the the treeline ahead. It's amazing, but you don't seem to be tired. You must have been running for at least half an hour. You wonder how that can be so? But your train of thought is derailed as 6 shadows burst through the treeline. Creeps from the road, who heard your noisy approach rush toward you. Their bodies are coal black and muscular, their eyes covered by red bandanas. Red wrappings cover their fists, and red pants complete the look. They look like monks. Not the monks from the temple, the other kind. They fight like monks to, which is evident as the first one reaches you and rears back it's fist. You bring up the book defensively. You block it, but the force sends you flying back into the bush. Two reach Peter, and throw out their fists. He dodges the blows, weaving between them like a boxer, and backs up, fists raised. The two monks take a defensive stance, circling. Meanwhile, the one who knocked you down bounces on the balls of it's feet, apparently waiting for you to get up. STRIFE!

"Wait, what do you think your doing with your life?" You suddenly call out. . The creep stops it's bouncing and just looks at you. The ones accosting Peter also turn to look. You begin to stand up.
"Look, I know you may be red, at your very core, but please. If you will just listen to me I'm sure I could Convince you." The word echos in the air, seemingly taking up space as it flies to their ears. It rattles around, before finding and burrowing deep into their brains. They were listening... The other three are as close to surprised as creeps can be when they find, not only 2 blue players, but three blue creeps as well. Nevertheless, they take of fighting stances and face you head on. CRITICAL SUCCESS! You now control 3 Blue Monks! >COMMAND?
