The other two are at a loss for words. Fortunately, that's never a problem for you.

"What in the world was that? Are you okay?"

"Aghhhh." he moans, blood dripping from his knuckles. Armand set the boat down, rips up some of the cloth, and head toward him to wrap up his hands. Peter looks up at you and actually smiles. "We all have some power, right? One that comes from out Title? Mine is Ace of Zeal."

Amanda, meanwhile, has gathered up the orb and tossed it in the boat. "How many times can you do that?"

"Once a day. That's how it feels. It feels like a one a day type of thing."

You don't doubt him. After all, your understanding of words is instinctual.

>Inquire into his time with Marion and why he seems to have more knowledge.

As you start to make the long walk back, you ask Peter about his time with Marion.

"I Mean, just how long did you spend with her."

"Not sure." he calls from his end of the boat. "A few hours, maybe. Time is weird in there."

"So, how do you know more than me? I was pretty clueless when I got down here."

"Oh right, she asked me to apologize for that. Apparently, she was trying something special with you, and so you were "asleep" longer.  Don't ask me the details, but apparently it was something to make you the perfect commander. So that's why I call you commander, commander."

Perfect commander? But you haven't even given a single command. This troubles you for the
remainder of the journey.

Finally, you make your way back to your cave base just as the sun was setting on the horizon. Most people would not enjoy the fact that you live in a cave, But peter is ecstatic.

"Man, just like proper underdogs! A cave! This is gonna be awesome! Wolverines!"

"Would you shut up! What are we going to do if someone finds this place?" Shouts Amanda, her words reverberating off the cave walls. She covers her mouth in embarrassment.

You set down the boats and pile all the tools in the corner, creating two functional beds. Then Armand vanishes, and comes back with an armful of fruit. Fruit is really the only way to describe it, because it doesn't look like any specific fruit. In fact, it looks like all fruit, the idea of fruit. Think "jungle fruit" and these things were the image that popped into your head. It's a little uncanny, but they're at least tasty.

"I was just about to bring that up." Says Armand, wiping his mouth. "It should be alright, if we leave early enough. Chest spawn about noon. They won't check until then, at least."

"What about the chest that spawned in the base?" Amanda asks bitterly. "That person is basically screwed. The reds probably popped 'em already."

"We can't know that." Armand replies, "but we won't be able to hit both chest before noon, not unless we split up."

"Hey, hey, hey!" calls Peter. "No use thinking about that kind of dire thing now, it will only depress us. If we believe we're going to win, we will."

Amanda looks at him incredulously. Even Armand is taken aback by that type of optimism. Amanda speaks up, "You do know what we're up against, right?"

"Yep, and the underdog always wins in these situations. True fact!"

"My Title? Oh, that's easy, Ace of Zeal."

"Oh god." says Amanda, putting her face in her hands.

"Something wrong with that?" asks Peter, confused.

"We had an Ace and an of Zeal before. They were both annoying."

"This is great though." Injects Armand. "Aces are amazing in the early game. We really need that kind of power right now."

"What power?" you ask.

"Ace in the Hole!" Peter says, as he leaps up and begins shadowboxing. "Turns me into even more of a complete badass for a while."

"What he means is," Armand says, "That for a few moments after using Ace in the Hole, he's as strong as a fully realized Heir."

"Yeah, what smart guy said. I'm pretty awesome!" he sits back down.

"You're something all right..." Amanda says under her breath.

>COMMANDER?

"Yeah, that's right commander. You point the way, I'll follow."

"But what did you mean earlier, about me being a perfect commander?" you ask, concern evident in your voice.

"Got me" he say, shaking his head. "You'd have to ask the smart girl. She's the one who said perfect commander."

"He hasn't even given us any commands yet." Says Amanda. "I don't want to doubt Marion judgement, but it doesn't look like what she tried worked." She catches your hurt expression. "Look Arthur, I'm not saying you're useless or anything. That word of yours turned what could have been a hard fight into a cakewalk. I'm just pointing out that you haven't exactly been calling out orders when we fight."

New word: 
Perfect: Activates Ace in the Hole on a single target. One Charge.

"You want to know about me, Commander? Well, I'm an armature boxer, I work out a lot, I enjoy romantic tales of adventure and heroism. My favorite food is marshmallows, my favorite animal is the Hippopotamus, my measurements are..."

Amanda cuts in, quickly, "Why a hippo."

"Excuse me?"

"Why not something like a lion. You look enough like one."

Peter gives a smile, "Little birds won't rest in a lion's mouth, will they? But they trust a hippo not to crush them."

(I don't think you can confirm your own command in a group decision . We could get more words of power from talking, or we could just start the next quest for the chests.)

"So," you say, looking around. "We going for the next chest or what?"

"What?" Amanda looks aghast. "Right now? After that long walk? It's nighttime! You can't even see."

"Well..."

"No, seriously. Take a look outside."

You walk out into the black. And it is the black, not the night. Night has stars and a moon, but this didn't. You make your way back inside.

"You see? Can't do squat at night."
"But, how did they attack you at night if you can't see a thing?"
"Their Seer led them to us."

"Besides," Armand interjects, "We still haven't decided who gets the orb."

[Philote]

"Well, who could use it?" You say, picking it up.

"Well, it would give Pete his weapon if he used it. Or, you could use it to upgrade your weapon or abilities."

"What abut us?" Amanda asks.

"What about us, we're strong enough already."

"Oh come on, I know for a fact that you only ever got three of them! Arthur, don't listen to this idiot. He could use it just as much as you and Peter."

You offer the Orb to Amanda. She hold up her hands and starts waving them.

"What, Me? No, no way, I've had like 5 of these thing already. Someone else would get more out of it, believe me."

She fidgets and starts looking side to side.


"I mean, if you insist, but...Are You Sure?"
