Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
You point, and your creeps rush in. You tell Peter to hang back, and let them do most of the work. He bonces around the edge of the melee, dashing in to get potshots whenever he can. Soon, it's 4 on 2, and after that the rest of the fight goes easy. They smash the red creeps under their heels, suffering only minor damage. All that's left are some strange sparkles on the ground.

Peter turns to you, panting. The Creeps are silent, and await their next order.

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
"Peter, you okay to continue? You could rest."

He stops panting, puts his hands on his hips, and thrusts out his chest like a superhero. "Who is it" he says with mock insult, "that you think I am? Just winded is all. If I had to rest after a fight like like, Coach Gonzales would have my head."

You nod your head and the five of you head forward, the creeps circling you like barrier of meat. You make your way out onto the road.

The first thing you notice is the size. The road is HUGE,  lager enough to be a considered a clearing. Large, and red. Every cobblestone set into the ground is a bright blood red.

It was no wonder that Armand and Amanda were wary about crossing it. You would be a sitting duck. Peter sums it up nicely. "Looks like we're going to have to make a run for it."

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
You look both ways. "Good idea."

You all take off, sprinting the distance between the relative safety of the jungle. You manage to break into the opposite side without incident. You collapse in a panting mess in jungle mud, while the others mill about. Peter extends a hand. "Would you like a rest, boss?"

You laugh a bit and let him help you to your feet. after a few minutes, you're fine. You check your map, and lead your group deeper into the jungle, in the direction of the chest.

Eventually, you can see the entrance to the Vally Dungeon. A large stone gateway bars the way. It's open, but their appears to be no one about.

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
You signal for one of your creeps to move toward the stone door.

It moves out of the treeline and into the field surrounding the dungeon, moving cautiously, and not making a sound. It all appear safe, at least until it reaches the door.

A high pitched metallic shrike rings out, and something gleams in the sun as it moves out from the doorway and streaks toward the monk. It lashes out at your monk, but he's able to dodge the first swipe. But the creature lashes out with it's other arm, and impales him. It stands up, and you can make out what it is.

It's large, and metal, at least twice as tall as the monks. It's arms and legs end in wicked talons and it's jaw is full of serrated teeth. It's head is covered by a sort of red headdress. There are three orbs on it's body; one on it's chest, and one each on both of it's shoulders. It has a long tail, ending in a hook like weapon. It has no nose, and it's eyes burn with a red light. It one of it hands it holds a trident, pointed on both ends. It lets out another yell as the monk struggles, and red lightning arcs through the spear. The monk doesn't even get a chance to scream, simply shattering apart.

The beast begins looking about the clearing, weary of anyone else, then, seeing no one, heads back into the darkness. It's movements and janky and uneven, as it it's being carried along by the head and the body is just flopping forward. But their is a certain gracefulness to it, a rhythm that keeps it from falling down.

You think you hear a girls laughter, coming from within.

Re: Domain Game Quest

You check your map. From the looks of it, that doorway is the only way into the valley with the chest, and the valley doesn't extend very far beyond it. You suppose you could try scaling the cliffs around the valley, but you don't know how long that would take...

Orbs most likely point out weak spots. Lightning seems limited to what spear connects with.
