You made an amateur mistake.

Didn't eat their souls. Remember this next time.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Killing :
Killing or wanting to kill often represents a desire for power or control, often based in feelings of powerlessness. Killing someone can mean: You'd like to take power from whomever or whatever that person represents in your real life, perhaps so you can feel less powerless You are angry at them in real life You're feeling unwilling to deal with the problems or hassles you feel they cause you Killing someone in self defense can mean you're feeling attacked somehow (mentally, emotionally, physically) or that you need to defend yourself or stand up for yourself somehow. Killing someone accidentally can mean you're afraid you'll accidentally hurt that person, that something you do may be detrimental to them somehow, or that your subconscious mind is thinking things through to make sure this doesn't happen.

Hole :
Difficulty or tricky situation in life; a situation you might ‘fall into’; a place to hide or feel protected in – therefore womb like feelings; an escape route or a way through from one situation into another; a way of ‘seeing through’ something; an ‘opening’ or opportunity; the vagina; death; occasionally used as word play meaning whole.

A hole is also something that things can go into or come out of. Food goes in our mouth for instance and comes out the other end. So poking food in a hole could link with eating. But holes can link with leaks, and sometimes dreams use a leak to suggest the way we lose energy or waste our energy resources. (Rocket dream as example.)

Falling in hole:
It could mean you are meeting a difficulty that you didn’t keep  your eyes open to see. But some holes we fall into are find ourselves confronted by are there as a challenge to see if you are confident that nothing can hurt you in your dreams. Falling is not fatal or even harmful in dreams. We tend to take things we are rightfully scared of in everyday life and then take them into our dreams where nothing can hurt us. But of course we still fear if we do not understand that dreams are like computer games and are virtual realities. You can get killed a hundred times in dreams and yet you awake the next day none the worse – except if you are frightened, and  it is fear that can do you harm, not dreams

Falling
As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in your work environment. You have lost your foothold and keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life. When you fall, there is nothing that you can hold on to. You more or less are forced toward this downward motion without any control. This lost of control may parallel a waking situation in your life.

Falling dreams also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in some circumstance or situation. It may be the fear of failing in your job/school, loss of status, or failure in love. You feel shameful and a lost sense of self-esteem You are unable to keep up with the status quo and feel that you don't measure up.

Killing :
Killing in dreams can have several meanings. It may mean that you are simply angry and that in your mind you could kill someone right now. One dream in our study occurred after the dreamer argued the day before. Another killing dream occurred the night after the dreamer had been thinking about her hate for someone. Another dreamer had been thinking about her hate and was particularly thinking about the wish for revenge. Killing someone generally means you want to get away from someone who has been dominating you.

Killing in dreams also seems to be linked to a wish to resist something. One dreamer had a killing dream at the time when he wanted to resist some new ideas. So the killing dream is about his wish to 'kill off' an idea.

Pushing
Pushing in dreams will usually link to some kind of aggressive situation. Try thinking of the words abrupt, insistent ,effort ,frustrate and confrontation. If these words appear in your emotions then its likely the dream could be linked to that.

In short. You were having some anxiety and regrets about stuff you pulled.
You probably like comics like Spawn or The Darkness.
You also probably enjoy sci-fi triller movies like War Of The Worlds.

That one is hard to say.  It depends to much on your background.  Something we know nothing about.
Are you someone with faith in god? It could be some subconcious reference to a divine force.
Or are you someone who believes in UFO's and abduction by aliens?
Did you have a traumatic experience with a game of dodgeball?
It probably means nothing, and is just used as a transition from the falling to the new situation on the mountain.

Well, technically, it's not a dream, but I do imagine it will give me dreams. Or nightmares. Maybe both? Heard this song on Misfits, Series 4, Episode 1. Wanna give it a whirl, trying to figure out what the lyrics mean?

“…Judge not what a man has done, but judge what he could have done if he was a different bloke altogether. For art thou a leper? And a leper can changeth his spots…”   --Rudy Wade, Misfits (Series 4, Episode 8)

The story I imagined when I heard that song.

A guy hired an erotic dancer to give him dance lessons. So he could impress his wife.
But it turned out into something more.
So the dancer also introduced him to gambling. He got addicted, to the nightlife.
His wife found out and left him.  Now he's broke, alone, and addicted.

I had an idea similar to that. Only the guy is intrigued with the nightlife, and people tell him not to get himself tangled up with that lifestyle, but he can't resist (justifying to himself that he has good intent), and so he does it anyway. He's unsure of himself, but by the time he decides to turn back, it's already too late, no buses are running. So he ventures in and meets up with, yes, a sultry exotic dancer, who isn't nearly as harmless as she seems (read: is a Siren/Black Widow/Femme Fatale archetype).

She leads him out on a night of wild decadence and debauchery, basically showing him the time of his life, but doing things he so normally would never do. This goes on for numerous nights, until the guy feels like he can't tear himself away from the lifestyle. Then, as she's gained his trust, she betrays him, maybe sets him up to get jumped for his money, and he's left feeling broken and disillusioned, his reputation ruined.

But still, like you said, he's addicted to that lifestyle. And it's fast leading to his imminent destruction. Either a lifetime of addiction, a life in prison or worse (as implied by the trail-off line at the end). The dice, in my mind, was him gambling with his life. (And if nobody else noticed, the main singing is narrating the temptress that the guy follows into the underworld, and the chorus part is basically the Oompa-Loompas, talking about where the guy morally went wrong.)

Gosh, I can't stop listening to this song. It's so freaking cool! It has a really cool sultry jazz noir feel to it. Very gritty, and still sensual at the same time. This song is basically the lyrical equivalent of a speakeasy that serves as a clever front for a brothel.

Dreams where there is more than one of someone are bad.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Well, now I know why Doppelgangers freaked people out in the old days.

Had a dream just now that one of my friends had one.

I was like, hey, it's another you.

And dream-them freaked out and said it wasn't.

Then I got frightened because of how off the situation was. Everything about the other him screamed WRONG.

I got so frightened that I basically said FUCK THIS AND BE AWAKE NOW.

And sat up, reached over and turned a light on.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I want to sleep again.

Shit that was the most frightening dream I've had in years.
