The two of us are separated by a fence from everyone else.

Its nothing that really needs to be hidden from everyone else but I thought it would be more in the spirit of the RP to only post it to the two who would have knowledge of the area.

Just like how those in the house could post it so that the two of us couldn't see if they wanted to.

My character ranks her own safety above that of someone she doesn't know.

Mostly because she is more than smart enough to know that she would not do well against a pack of wild dogs. If her power involved fireballs or something, she'd probably be a bit more gung-ho.

The big dog has about the same power as you except he also becomes really really sharp when he gets dense, and the tiny dog can phase through solid objects.

We don't actually know that about the small one for sure yet. But its within reason.
