yet another Rp.

I know we're swamped with these already, but I had a dream a bit ago that I'm planning to turn into a book if it doesn't end up being a preexisting thing that I've never heard of...it's happened before. I'm turning it into an Rp for now to flesh it out a bit and to make sure I don't forget about it.

Basically it goes along the lines of this. There are two dimensions in this world, the moral realm, and the spirit realm. The mortal Realm is what you see around you on an every day basis, and the spirit realm is the domain of gods spirits, and creatures of imagination, as well as hundreds of pieces from other worlds and possibilities. The denizens of this world, use to be able to bridge the gap inbetween and come to this one creating the legends we know of today. The spirit world itself, is much lalrger than the earth that we know of, as various peices interconnect with other dimensions and previous pieces of history. Making it appear like a patwork quilt of dreams.

   Normally Humans are only able to access said spirit world in brief glimpses during their dreams,but there are a few humans who have creatures from that world in their distant bloodline, and are able to cross over into the spirit world during a self induced episode similiar to a mini seizur. During which the world seems to lunge and change color for a split second before you appear in the spirit world. The siezure, is a side affect of your spirit blood awakening, after crossing over you take on the characteristics of one of your distant spirit ancestors varying in intensity per individual.

   Each person has a spirit weapon, most of which manifests itself upon entry into the spirit world. Most take on the appearance of a sword, and take on special characteristics and abilities per individual. The weapons are capable of basic defense attack as well, and in some cases longrange fighting. The spirit weapons themselves can be altered and upgraded through the process of attatching memories. Memories are artifacts of the spirit world which hold segments of emotion, memory, and sometimes spirits. Of these are incredibly powerful.almost mythical even in their world, "Holy Memories" Whcih hold untold power and abilities. Currently I'm considering each PC having at least one of these to begin with.

   In this dimension there are those called hunters, who are those who seek the aforementioned Holy memories. These are considered incredibly powerful spirits, and are often considered mercenaries, taking jobs for hire. Even though most of them are splitters, a changable term for those who have spirit bloodline.

   Recently the borders of the spirit and mortal realm have begun to weaken for unknown reasons, and people who previously had no Idea that they had a creature ancestry are being thrust to and from the spirit world periodically, in nightmarish jaunts. In addition there have been an outbreak of coma's spreading throughout the world, that seem to have no medical explanation.

Basically imagine any mix of mythical creatures you can think of One of the people from the dream I had, was I think a mix of Yuki Onna, and Kitsune for some reason. Another guy I think had some ogre in him. And I think at the time the one I hovered around the most was some mix of fae or Daemon.

If not I'm making it into a book.....in this case I might make a few more of my dreams RPs.  By the way I might not be on as much, so I'm putting Warriors of myth, and Suburban super heroes on haitis, due to lack of interest or involvement on both parts.

Hooray, Khopesh spirit weapon! Now, one more question...what kind of changes occur with the addition of memories? Power increase, different abilities?

They are cool....All chain weapons usually are.

DIfferent abilities mostly, some change the shape and even nature of the weapon. Some increase power, some allow you to shoot projectiles, others give you unnatural abilities, etc.

In addition, I'm planning a system which will allow you to access more of your creature blood after spending a long time in the spirit world, allowing you to access more of your ancestors powers.

...there isn't anything I should know about the Khopesh is there, the one your talking about is basically the Egyptian version of the scimitar sword used for rituals right?

Yeah, pretty much. I may alter the shape a small bit to look a little more modern though.

Ah, so that's what one of those are, I didn't know there name, I needed that for a book. Originally no, but eventually yes. Think along the lines of basic swords, but after you acquire a memory you can have your sword morph into it, unless you want to use your starter memory to turn it into one.

On a side note you can interact with the human world by altering the spirit world in a section the overlaps with the human world...although in this world if you can see people at all they look like ghosts do in this one. Another interesting thing is that you can use going between worlds as a shortcut once you ge tthe hang of it.

Cool, so would it be possible to do sort of an executioner theme for my guy? Also you may want to rename the title of this thread to something more meaningful.

I have no idea what kind of creature I want for my ancestry. I'm no exactly a myth or creature buff. I know very little on the subject.
