There's..

Ib (Heart), Sheut (Shadow), Ren (Name), Ba (Soul/Unique Character) and Ka (Spirit/Animating Force). In addition to Ha (Body).

So..

Just have part of it be a part of the soul of some fearsome ancient eygptian executioner.

I don't remember. I just remember reading something about an army of jackal headed warriors called Anpu. They were lead by Anubis.

....on the subject of god's it depends, for this one I might, and that is a very big might for that matter. It depends on what god it is, nothing along the lines of the greeks, there too humanoid anyway, but I might allow orient, Indian Theology, Egyptian gods, Native American gods, etc. In this Rp several of the religious beings either were spirits from thiss realm or had spirit couterparts so anythings possible really, Philote could even have his son wukong.
