All the more reason for his dad to drop him smack dab in the middle of it. Does it affect half demons the same way, and if so, can I pass as a half elf, do half demons have pointy ears?

And yes, you could probably pass as a half-elf or someone with fey blood.

Since a person with green hair, or someone with a hand made of gnarled wood could walk down the streets without attracting much attention, a person with sharp teeth/horns/pointy ears/etc won't raise many eyebrows.

And everyone else may want to look up whatever race they've chosen for their characters.

WHich do you think would be better fire or darkness?

I dunno. Fire would leave you safe from some of the more mundane dangers, like forest fires or something.

Darkness would only be useful if you came across something that used that element.
