Not immediately, except for the one I asked you about on the main site recently.  I've started/stopped going thru the MythPower inventory about a dozen times, but I can't seem to get free from distractions (i.e., kids) to get some momentum on my re-evaluation.   I'll try to crack open my old laptop that has my MythPower notes later on today if I can and give you an update.

If we're flinging MythPower requests at Wulf today, may I reprise mine for the Hecatoncheires?

Okay, cool. Sounds good.

The Hecatonchires are most certainly on their way. All in one power (rather than three, covering one Hecatoncheir each), if I can help it.

The Hecatonchires were sort of singular in their function. And they didn't have a really expansive mythology, or even an expansive significance within the mythology they DO have. It doesn't really make sense to expand too much on them, if they're barely expanded upon by the original creators. So they get one total ability.

I like the power you just upgraded, Wulf - Elpis' Elevation.  I don't recall its abilities prior to your upgrade, but it would prove very useful at a personal level.

Regarding combat use - can you unpack the statement "backlash foes' negative hopes" for me?

Yeah, I can understand that you didn't remember its capabilities from before the upgrade. It was pretty wimpy. I'm WAY happy with this final version.

And on that note, the backlash aspect is something I particularly like. As an action, the user can target the part of the foe's mind where they express the hope for bad things to the user. Then, the user can actually manipulate the psychic energy generated by that hope, and backfire it within the foe's mind, resulting in mental and physical pain.

In essence, it's a perfectly targeted psychic anti-enemy attack--only foes will hope for your failure or downfall, and so only foes will be affected by the anti-negative-hope backlash.

Hopefully, that's not too pseudoscientifically jargon-y...

Not in the least.  You explained it perfectly.  This is one of those quintessential powers for the righteous - they only deal damage to the ne'er-do-wells (or their thralls).  Nice touch.

I've been reticent to post this, but how is MythPower: Lesson of the Litae not higher on the Most Wanted roster?  Is there an unstated limitation to the power that I've just not gleaned?

I would have to say that it is the most potent power (within reason) that I've come across.  Am I missing something obvious?

No accounting for taste, on their part. That's about as much as anybody might have missed out on. The power's pretty straightforward. Just, not many folks care to read, so if it doesn't just plain out say 'U CAN SHOOTS TEH LAZORS', they may think I'm being too wordy, and down-vote it.

The "would you rather" system does seem to benefit the unwordy.

Also, using the system fast then most will just compare the titles.
Might be a different situation if a "Like, Unlike" system was used to rate the populatity.

It'd be nice to see the popularity in and of itself, as opposed to being compared to other powers...

Darn it, I really have to get back to this. After I add my latest post to the Greetings, from Celadon! reboot, perhaps.

I've often thought of the possibility of a qualitative analysis of powers, as opposed to quantitative, i.e., WYR.  Specifically,  which powers have been acquired by the more seasoned/particular veterans.  In my search of powers to acquire, I've browsed the profiles of many of you to see what you guys have determined to be the best "bang for the buck".  Namely, WHD, Phi, Marv, Wulf, Myself, GV, and WonderDrow.

If there's a way to poll the powers to see which of the top 10 MPUs have acquired them, that would be more telling than the WYR system, IMHO.

Just my $0.02.

A valid point for sure. I think we need to post these things in the New Features thread, as Justin appears to pay attention to our petitions, as time permits.

If you guys chip in these suggestions, I can get his attention some time, and let him know what our ideas are.
